yes true. Motorola's interface has been hard for many to tinker with.

the easiest OS I have come across that is non-smartOS is siemens.

even a 8 year old can play with the phone.

good build quality and reception with average battery life. Its too common nowadays atleast here in N.America. Each and every person has the Itunes or the razr in hand.

The v3 does not have that many features but the new...v3i has all of them...a 1.3 MP camera too....but that will be a little ont he higher side....
For Elegant looks i would prefer MOtorola Razor V3.....
For Funky types....u can try the 3230
otherwise i think u can wait for the l'amour series....its also supposed to be good
Almost forgot...the nokia 6111...it has 1.3 MP cam....looks good n stuff...price is 11.5 k.....but just one prob....no external memory....and had an internal of abt 30-40 MB

Have a look at benq-siemens EF81. It has the potential to become the next Razr successor if Benq-siemens has the capacity to digest it.

The cell pphone is really good....better features than the Razor v3...but i still think that benq wont be that much of a competier thats cause...in India people care more about brands.......that is why sometimes even the most crappiest phone find sucess over here......Since Benq...does not have that much of popularity i dont think people will be that attracted......

According to me Nokia 3230 is the best phone you can buy in this prise range.

The only thing you need 2 do is go in for firmware upgrade as soon as u buy coz it hangs a lot.

I wouldnt be sure of the prices in India but if nokia 6630 is within the 2k difference then its a no brainer to go for nokia 3230.

first of all,

1) chances are that if your nokia is not a smartphone than it wont probably hang. looks for a non-symbian phone.

for the rest of the features look at the following.

nokia 6270, nokia 6111, nokia 6230,nokia 6230i, nokia 6822

nokia 6822 is supposed to have the best battery life followed by nokia 6230i. check for yourself.

I cant comment on prices in India as I am not in India currently.

Just noticed that nobody mentioned the Sony W series in this thread. I have friends who have W550i and W800i and both are really good. If media funtionality is high on the list, then these would be the phones to go for. They look pretty cool too!
