Blackberry services are really nice, used e52 before this (well still do, as i like the OVI maps interface). Got a 9300 3g and really happy with the response it is giving me.

Android is cool, but still not that ready for mass use. A bit techie still in some areas.

iOS is fabulous. Everything works out of the box and keeps working forever. The UI, IMHO is the best.

Sad about the Linux (discounting Android) promise, not seeing the light of the day.

All the rest are "Also Ran".
You seem to have missed the question.

which smartphone OS do you use?

I use HTC Legend (Android 2.2) for last one year and a half. It was version 2.1 at the time of purchase but the software was auto upgraded. Before that I used a Asus P-750 phone (Windows Mobile Version 6.0) but after a year of using the phone software started to malfunction and I had to reload the software once again. The phone is still with me but the life of the battery is gone.

@Chaand

I am surprised at your surprise. Which did you expect would be leading the pack, if not Android??

The only surprise that I see is Windows mobile getting so close to BB and staying ahead of the "Others", other than that the order is pretty much expected.

I expected iPhone at the top and BB at the bottom.

In India, no way Apple (iPhone) can lead the pack. They are too expensive for Indian market. There are far too many cheaper variants from Android (thanks to Samsung) and from Symbian (thanks to Nokia legacy).

Though, I was expecting BB to outnumber iPhone.

After the "paradox" I hope you are no more so much surprised.

Cheers

@sanagg1

Please read the title of the poll carefully

It says: Which Smartphone OS do you use?

I honestly voted for the two OS's i use. And it is not necessary that the OS which I use should head the pack. At least, I do not think so!
I expected BB to be at the bottom, considering that its still using a rudimentary OS (8520)!

Have a Symbian based Nokia smart phone (antiquated by current standards).

Most definitely going for an Android based smart phone mostly for my wifi first as she is wishing to acquire the latest touch phone and then another one for myself maybe by the year end.
