Dude I waited 3 months for my Vento AT (with the same engine) and here you are getting it overnight. Enjoy- and do start an ownership thread!

Default Is the VW Polo 1.2 P Highline relevant in the market in Jan 2014?

I am bent towards buying the Polo 1.2 P Highline soon considering all the plus points about the car that we all know about like - looks, ride, handling, posh quality inside and out. I know it has not so great rear leg room, not so refined 3 pot engine etc etc. But I am ok to consider that.

My question is the following:
Is it worth buying the VW Polo 1.2 P Highline considering it's Jan 2014? Or should I wait for a new Polo maybe or the new i20 due by year end as they say (I do not like the existing i20). We hear about the new 1.5 l TDI Polo engine thats due probably mid 2014. But is there any news of a new 4 cylinder (if not more powerful) petrol engine maybe? I don't wanna go beyond the 8 lakhs mark, so ruled out the GT TSI and GT TDI options.

This will be my first car btw !!
I booked the Ecosport 1.5 TDCi Titanium out of practicality points but now don't wanna spend that much as I've loads of other expenses coming up !!

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!!

1.2 Polo is your best bet. What about considering the TSI, though it's a bit expensive. But do insist on extended warranty(for DSG.)

Just drove the TSI so i was blown away. I am not a huge fan of the polo but the DSG alone is worth considering this option. Without exaggeration, the gear shift is so smooth that you dont notice it. I have driven Mercedes E-250 CDI and SLK 350, but I can tell you that the gear shift in the TSI were much smoother. And the sports mode experience is what it should be - sporty. It will pin you back in the seat.
