Urgent: Santro XO final call. - Team-BHP

Hey all,

My dad has finally decided to go for the Santro XO. I wanted to check with you gusy here before giving the final go.

The price quoted here in chennai for the XO is 4.13 lacs (on road).

They don't seem to reduce price but look slike we have to demand accessories.

What they agreed to give:
Some singe CD MP3 player, 2 speakers (cheapo ones). Or take off 8000
sun film
mud flaps + floor mats
Under coating
Teflon coating (what is this?)
car cover
Fog lights, we were asked 1500

My questions:
1. Do I go for the MP3 player the dealer is giving or take off 8000. Is a single CD mp3 player 8k in India?

2. Is a front carsh guard / bar useful for a Santro? The dealer said 800 bucks for it.

My brother in law bought the XO in February, before price cuts for around 430K.

Following were included
1) Sony MP3/VCD player. One roof attached LCD.LCD not very good quality though. MP3 is ok.
2) Fog lamps
3) Rear Spoiler
4) Teflon coating - its a protective layer around the body paint which gives it more shine and makes it scratch resistant.
5)Mudflaps, undercoatings
6) Leather lookalike seat covers.
7) No sun film though.
8) Car cover.

Overall pretty much everything was included.

Ask fort a better branded cd player, else you are better off saving 8K.

and I must add... quite useless... got it done on 2 cars...
Cars probably shined for one week!

If its a light shade no use of teflon coating....

I got teflon coating and underbody thing on my santro and one year down the car still shines and has that metallic glaze. and i think its better to take the 8K off and get a aftermarket system or tell these hyundai guys to addin a Central locking system COBRA or whatever. Hyundai also gives a sunroof for 7K on a santro so u could get instead.

I would say, dont get any accessory from showroom, they always sell them at a steep price.
Instead, get the maximum CASH discount as far as possible.

but get one thing from the showroom, ie Under body coating, its the only thing worth buying from the showroom apart from the car

I got my car's under body coating for 1600/- with 5yr warrenty.

Do not get front crash guard. Works against distributing crash energy as intended by the crumple zones. Does more damage than not.
