Default Indica CNG

Hi,

I'm about to buy my first car. I'm gonna drive it around 50km/day within the city.

My monthly budget is @7-8k (including EMI, fuel, mantainence), which means petrol is not an option.

After some research, I've zeroed in on Indica Xeta CNG.

On-road price: 2.9 lakh (a/c) + 40k for CNG kit.

Is it a good choice? I need your opinion guys.

Plus, how much discount should I expect from the dealer?

Hi Manas,

I think there was a Team-BHP member who recently bought Indica Xeta CNG. Forgot his id. Check out the reviews section, you will find his post.

Do also consider wagonr LPG, which has been launched recently, and costs about 10k more than the petrol version. Should be quite cheap to run, and LPG doesnt affect performance as much as CNG does.

Hi,
Though I love this site, I have to say the search sucks. I saw that review the day it was posted but can't find it now.

I did consider the WagonR LPG, but it doesn't really make much sense.

First of all, LPG is economical only in mobile bombs (the subsidised kitcken cyclinder). U take the subsidy away, and the running cost is almost equal to a diesel.

Secondly, in Delhi there arent as many LPG pumps as CNG.

And thirdly, it's got a bare-minimum petrol tank, so you can't take it out of the city.
