Please Help me to findout my first love[ first car].

- She must within 1 lac range (I can't spend more then that for her)
- I will be taking her to village like UDUPI (Long drives will be there, but not frequent)
- she have to take care of my family.
- She must look sexy...
- I hate if she ask ask more money every month for her dress or other stuff.
- She must be in karnataka
- If you know her PM me with details i will sure marry with her before next month [Ye, if i like her then only]

Dont recommend the nexia because she would be a real load on your pocket.If daewoo maintainance is not an issue with you then go in for the matiz instead.

Your best bet would be[both pre 2000 models]:

1>. Hatch== Maruti zen
2>. Sedan== Maruti esteem/Maruti 1000

If you dont mind a Maruti 800, you could get a younger bride.She will satisfy most of your criteria except perhaps...

However Beauty lies in the eyes of the Beholder.

Ps: If you could wait another year Tatas new car priced at around 1.2-1.3 lakhs would have been your ideal match.

I would suggest u look at the earlier lot of carburettered esteems. u may get one in your budget.

if you dont want too much space, then a Maruti 800 is the best bet for you.

As far as looking "sexy" is concerned, well that is very subjective so I leave that part to you....

thanks for advices..... about tata's 1 lac car, if she is like sports car( as seen as some old post) then i won't buy it..... If i would like to go with zen... will i get good one for below 1 lac? (like year 1999 or 2000 model)

in karnataka, you will not get 1999/2000 model esteems/zens in your price range. i would suggest you look for a well maintained 1995 Zen/Esteem. this will be within your budget. if you want a newer car, then the 800 is the only choice. Fiat UNO is also available for 60k-100k, but then the maintanence would be a problem. Cielo/Nexia/Matiz should really be avoided especially since you will be in rural places where there will be no scope of getting the car done.

Within 2 lac you should be able to get a choice. Try Bangalore market.

Thats what i'm finding... in udupi i hardly get good one... trying at bangalore....in 2 lac range which one is the best... can someone list it out here.... will i get lancer in the list?

You might get an early Ikon (99/2k model) - very used. For 2L you're better advised to go in for a Maruti - since maintenance will be an important factor after you purchase it.

2000 model Zen/Esteem are available in that range. Obviously its better you go thru a Maruti TrueValue dealer - your choices would be marginally limited then but you'll get a well maintained genuine car with TrueValue warranty too/

It is the opposite here in chennai. the ikons have absolutely no resale value now. you will get a 2002 model within 2 Lakhs. anyway, i would also suggest you take a maruti since it will be easier to maintain in any part of the world. cheers

Why i need car?, I will tell you about that....I'm a sub-broker in foreign exchange trading, On weekends i want to go out side to refresh my self... for that i need a car and for long drive like from udupi to goa twise in a year or so.. The car have to be sexy, confirtable for me......for that I had selection like nexia, cielo, ford icon... about maruti i guess they r not that much confirtable for long drive........Not only you people, but even my friend recommending maruti's...... he said me to go for Maruti Alto..... I'm totaly confused now....

deadman, I would also suggest a small hatchback like Alto, Zen, Santro and others.
Do remember that with big cars will come high maintenance cost. And in your budget the car you will get will be either too old or might have high mileage on it or worst case might have been damaged in accident.

If you want car specifically for highway driving I would suggest FIAT Palio.
Though make sure you will get proper service in your city.

I recently (2 months ago) sold my 1998 carb zen for 1.2 lacs in bangalore. You should be able to find many cars around the same range. Choose carefully though.
