Default upgradation to indica dlx

hello friends,
an acquitance of mine wants to upgrade from his 2002 indica DLX to a deisel sedan.

Cars short listed: Indigo LX dicor and Petra deisel top-end model

Price range:
6 lakhs to 6.5 lakhs

Maintenance & After Sales Service (A.S.S.) expectations:
Had good experience with autofin for the current car, so expecting to be same. But not sure about how autofin will do the servicing for the petra.

Average distance traveled per month:
1500 km

Where car will be mostly used (city / highway / rough roads etc)
city: 70%,
highway: 25%,
rough roads: 5%.

Chauffer driven / self driven:
mostly chauffer driven,
but on holidays and personal work: driven by him

Whether the vehicle will be shared by other members of family:
yes by his dad and very rarely by his uncle.

Any specific requirements from car (ex. Better luggage space, responsive engine, rear seat comfort):
rear seat comfort, ease of driving in the traffic especially low end response. (had a difficult times with his indica with ac), Fuel efficiency. Will be doing around 80kmph on the highway, so will be happy with decent powered car. Safety is important, but i guess both are strongly built. NVH levels should be normal, Indigo being a turbo charged it would be better than Indica, I suppose. What about the Petra Deisel.

How long you intend on keeping this car (and how important resale is to you):
4-5 years, will be selling it off at around 80,000km so will be fine with a decent resale value.

Did i miss any other car to be considered.

I would suggest that he sticks to the Tata cars for now. I am not too confident about Fiat support in H'bad. I have switched over to a Tata dealer and they have done a far better job than most of the Fiat guys I have got my car serviced from. In terms of engine etc., I dont have any feedback, but Fiats typically are more refined.

HI,
How about considering the MARINA DICOR ? This estate has better space than INDIGO and also is slightly refined than the sedan. MAINA looks much better than INDIGO, and has a better road presence. mileagewise, u should get only 1k/l lesser than INDIGO,

april is too long. and we are not sure about the mahindra's as its being their first car. (not considering the scorpio as car). more inclined towards cars which have been in here for some time. for the indigo dicor, engine isnt an old one and have few doubts too on it rather few aprehensions.
