| BHPian | Hi, I have an offer for buying a used Wagon R (2004) with the following details:- Pearl Silver Wagon R VXI 2004 (Fully Loaded ) Purchase April 2004. Kms Driven ~ 6500 kms (Almost new) Excellent condition (no demages/ repairs or any engine / transmission) MP3 player Teflon coating Anti –rust coating Sunscreen Car seats and cover Expected Price – Approx (Rs. 270000/-) or best price Is the Price good enough? I was planning to buy a Swift Vxi but didn't want to spend 4.4 lacs as would be selling it in another 1-2 years time. This car has been driven very little so I dunno if the engine would be in mint condition or not... What say guys? Help would be appreciated. Thanks Saurabh |

| Senior - BHPian | You can surely go ahead with the purchase even if you plan to sell it after 2-3 years since wagonR has got a good resale value. Infact, the price is really a steal !!!

| BHPian | Hi Saurabh, I think it would be nice if you outline your requirements, it would make choosing easy. While the price does seem attractive, would you be taking a loan for the car? Just remember that the rate of interest on used cars is pretty steep and here it would make sense going for a new car. You said your mind was set on a Swift Vxi - that is a premium hatch, so hope you don't regret driving a Wagon R when you see the Swift zoom by ![]() |

| That's around 135 Km a month, Have you checked for any accidental claims, damages..! Why the car has not been driven..! Also I suggest to look into the service records.! Otherwise it seems an Offer to good to be true..! All the best with your purchase.

| Recently I was also looking around for used Wagon R, so on that basis I can say, the price quoted is not a steal. It's actually the right price. The only thing is you have to get it checked from some expert, that the car has not been driven or the Odo has been tampered. Also after going thru my search for right wagon R at right price , I gave it up, researched for new car and now booked NEW wagon R for Rs.3.6 Lacs (Chennai prices could be different). I repeat - the price of 2.7 lacs is not a steal. Don't hurry, think judiciously.....
