Help needed on choosing a 2001 Santro

hi all,

how about going for a 2001 sept santro LS (power steering, front power windows, sony mp3 player, all new tyres) for 1.75 lacs? third owner and done 50K. Vehicle is in very good condition. is that a good price in Bangalore? thanks in advance.

dunno about bangalore, but that price seems a little steep to me. and from personal experience i shy away from cars that are over 5 years old. it may look in great condition, but the issues start cropping up a couple of months down the line.... u end up spending a lot to fix the car and it spends more time with the mechanic than with you
but if ur confident that the car is good, try convincing the owner into knocking the price down by at least 25k. a 2001 santro LS in good condition should not cost more than 1.5 lacs IMHO.

Thanks razor. But I am planning for an old car to start with now. I was thinking about old M800, and then I came to know about this Santro. I know this vehicle for last 2 years.So thought of going for it. Yes, price is little bit high and I'm discussing on that. Thanks

2001 for 175 in bangalore is a good price...
people in bangalore try to sell cars at higher price...
last week i was seeing some site and people were asking 3.5 - 3.6 for 2004-2005 santro's...(MAD)

in bangalore 175 for a 2001 is fine but try to bring him down a bit if u can.
