Default Fiat palio stile or Wagon R Duo

Fiat palio stile or Wagon R Duo

Hi guys,I am planning to buy a car this month ,i have narrowed my search to these two ,can you plz help me out which one.
traveling 30 kms a day
will be keeping to 5-6 yrs
fuel efficeny, low maintance, good ac & easy driving in blore traffic .

Wagon R duo and fiat 1.1 slx cost more or less the same but wagon r doesnt look good and fiat has got all features & sexy looks ,i read in one of this thread that the fiat clutch is hard ,is it harder than wagon r's clutch?
Guys plz plz help me out ur comments will make a lot of diff.

Thanks in Advance

Sundance

Here is my 2 Cents

Palio
Pro's :
1. Big Car- Can easily Seat 5 in relative comfort than Wagon R
2. Build Quality is Better than wagon R. In 5 years the Palio will have less rattles and squeaks

Con's
1. Inspite of the samaller more fuel efficient engine i dont think it will be a give better mileage than the Wagon R
2. Maruti Service centres are more and easily found. I am not going to comment on the Service experience as they are equally bad or equally good

Wagon R
Pro's :
1. Smaller Car : Some times it is more manoverable than the Palio
2. A.S.S- After Sales Service , Is more readily available than the Palio

Cons:

1.Smaller Car: Can seat 4 in comfort and 5 in a pinch
2.Gear Shift Quality is Bad

If you are new driver, the wagon R might be better. Test drive both and you might find you prefer one over the other . Also consider the Santro, the Spark, both are pretty good. Test drive all and you might find liking one car more than other and that would be your baby

Also Sundance use the search function liberally there are forum members who have added infinite information in the years preceeding

Palio is clear winner compared with WagonR except for Fuel Economy. WagonR is good for city driving. Palio is overall winner.

Test drive both and decide!

Regards,

Ravi.

Ravi, the new Palio Stile 1.1 has a claimed mileage of 13 - 15 kmpl in City.
And a new owner at PUG too have reported 14 kmpl in City.

So, Palio Stile 1.1 offers you everything - Ride Comfort, Build quality, Space, Looks, Mileage etc!. A** may be Average.

Ultimate low running costs, good service support and resale value: Wagon R Duo

Everything else: Palio

definately the palio ... even though the engine size has been scaled down than the previous versions it still has a lot of power for comfortabe city driving than the wagon r . the only advantage i c in the wagon r duo is that of cng - clean and cheap fuel.

sundance, before you decide on your car I would say do a thorough research on this forum on both the cars. Its way better than a direct question. You may get to know a lot more. Then take your decision.

I would suggest the Palio stile too.....It might not feel as nippy as teh wagon r,but its definetly a better overall package.

palio is a clear winner here and *** is not that big an issue now and you can also expect better FE ....... atleast 13 with A/c as compared to wagon R's 15 with a/c.

However from city driving perspective just confirm the turning radius of Stile bcoz in old palio it was big comparitively.

According to me this is the only Con for palio.

Go for Palio i would say and dont listen to people who are against FIAT India.

I would love to recommend the Palio Stile. But I am wondering, have you considered all options? Test driven both cars? What about the Santro, Indica Xeta, Estilo etc?

Since it is city driving, I don't think there will be much to separate the two on performance or F.E. However, the Palios are notorious for their huge turning radius - and this can be a problem as already pointed out.

Best bet is to Test drive both the cars and see for urself as to which car will be more suited for ur needs.

If u plan to keep the car for 5 years, Palio has an edge. Its virtually maintenance free and pretty tough.
