Default hi all

i am planning to buy a small car (petrol) for my daily usage.
as many of the bhpians know i have a modded ohc so cant take that to office.

my main concern s are good mileage, low maintainence cost and reasonable price.

i have shortlisted a few cars.

1. Maruti Alto Lxi
2. Maruti Zen Estilo Vxi
3. Santro ERLX
4. Indica Turbo DLS

So guys any suggestions.

1. Maruti Alto Lxi - Nice car, will give you good mileage but a bit cramped.
2. Maruti Zen Estilo Vxi - Dont even consider this please, unless your a bit towards the feminine side.
3. Santro ERLX - Again Nice car and better then the Alto, IMHO
4. Indica Turbo DLS - Is your daily running enough to justify a diesel car.

Hey bro,
go for either the Alto LXi or the Santro Xing eRLX.
The Santro offers more power and is bigger and has better build quality, while the Alto is cheaper, has much better ride and handling and gives much better FE.
Cheers

THe Indica Turbo DLS would be the winner based on your "main concerns - good mileage, low maintainence cost and reasonable pricemain concern s are good mileage, low maintainence cost and reasonable price". However you might have to live with the small quality issues that come with the TATA. However at that price it's a really good vehicle with all the space you get.
As kamy suggested, also have a look at the Chevy Spark. Anything in particular why you did not include this in your list. Its a cool vehicle to drive in the city, but if you have more higway drives you need to check it out and i cant comment on that.
All the best and drive safe. Also tell us something more about your travels per month, no. of people etc.,
