Question Colour, Colour which Colour....should i choose

Hey All,

I have decided to book a swift Vxi with ABS on 18 june from spectra borivali (if he does not reduce the booking amt to 10K i am booking from vitesse andheri).

My dilemma as you have probably guessed is choosing a colour.
Hope you guys can assist in making the right decision.....

Blue & Green are out since my family does not like these colours...
Black is a no no since scratches are easily visible
White and Silver are for grown ups so i will buy these colours in the later part of my life.
Red is too flashy & there are already too many red swifts on the road.
Orange starts looking bad after a short time.
Golden does not look all that appealing to me.

Grey swift looks OK.
Sunlight copper is the new colour available & looks OK too.

As you see i have a lot of opinions...

Please add your opinions on the various colours so that i can finally decide the colour of my first car.

Thanks

Regards
SC

man, you are one confused soul.

normally I am not into colors and aesthetics, but since you have alread ruled out boring and mature colors, why not take a red/blue swift and convert it to two tone (like mini cooper)? you will stay unique.

use decals.

Keeping in mind your requirement suggest you Aveo 1.4 Ls. Its a nice car.

Good luck!

Hi buddies!

Am back after a brief hiatus And am i overwhelmed with your responses or what ?! Thanks everyone for chipping in... Your suggestions have actually helped me clear a bit of the confusion. I think i'll certainly TD some of the following cars in the coming weeks and keep all posted on this forum, of my findings:

Hatches:
a) Swift diesel: Seems an excellent option, except bootspace and rear seating and yeah, the longish wait period
b) Getz: Slightly overpriced for the offering and could wait for the diesel option
c) Palio Stile: Will certainly consider the aging warrior in new avatar!
d) UV-A: read a few good things enough to reconsider

Sedans:
a) Ikon: A personal darling, i guess it will always be a frontrunner
b) Aveo: A bit of a stretch on the wallet, but will TD it and check the reviews on our forums.
c) Logan: Might TD the Logan, but not so certain from what i have read.
d) Indigo: Read a bit on the car and am curious, so will check

OK.. So thats my TD shortlist to keep me busy over the next couple of weeks or so.

@Jaison, Its a big shortlist and will take little bit of effort to finalize one of these cars. I will go eliminating one by one.
1. First to go out is Indigo. Mainly bcoz its not reliable and there is no fun to drive, no snob value.
2. Logan. So far, I haven't checked it personally but already read and heard so many bad reviews abt this car tht don't want to even consider this.
3. If you want space to fit in 5 adults comfortably then goes out SWIFT petrol/diesel.
4. Ikon is a good car but goes out as it is now an outdated car and doesn't has a good resale value.

Now, the choice remains between Aveo1.4, Palio 1.6, getz prime and UVA.
I don't think Aveo will fit in 6 Lacs budget unless and until you get very good discount from your dealer. But mind you this is possible as GM dealers are famous for heavy discounts atleast in Pune.

I would suggest that you test drive remaing 3 cars and decide for yourself. Looking at your requirements, I think UVA is the best fit. Its has a fresh look. Its the biggest hatch and can sit 5 people comfortably. GM *** has improved a lot in recent times. should give you mileage of abt 12-13 KMPL in city and has decent power and performance.

Do not miss TDing The Fusion. Its one amazing piece of design-power-performance, and also gives ample space and comfort for inter city cruises.

My plan more or less is same as yours. Plan to buy in Jan2008. Current budget is also around 6L. And below is my short list

- Getz prime 1.3 GLS(I dont like the design of alloys in the GLX, if I want I will get it outside)

- U-VA for the reasons people mentioned here( but I am slightly dissapointed by cut down interior design and features compared to original model running here in Korea and may be other countries. if you see on the internet you will know)

- Ford Fusion (enough said, what else one to ask for). The only glitch here is resale value and costly spare parts.

- If I have to buy a sedan then I will go with Accent. The newer cars are over 7L OTR and I dont like Ikon's dashboard.
