Default Which used CAR will fulfil these requirements

Looking for a small car which would certainly have these combination.

1)Comfort even for a long drive 200-300 at a stretch
2)Good mileage atleast 12 -14 in city & 16 in Highways with AC (Ofcourse with good driving)
3) Low maintenance
4) Trouble free in case LPG is installed latter

Budget max 2Lakh .By the way Im not against Diesel. For used Diesel i can add another 20-25000.
TIA.

Try to search for a 2001-2003 model WagonR. Else, look for used 2004-2005 Maruti Alto.

Comfort, mileage and low maintenance and should be able to add LPG kit later on; well Alto,Santro and WagonR.

Would suggest to stay away from Diesel for this budget.

Add Omni to the list.

For the above set of requirments Maruti Alto would be the best bet. The spares are cheaper and it's AC is good, ride is reasonabally good to, only negative is cramped with 4 onboard, but with 2 all is good.

I would also suggest to go for a Santro, maintainance is very low, is a nice fuel efficient car and drives are comfortable

My brother's Santro Zip Plus 1.1 L used to give 12+ in cities with a/c but with sedate driving. Older 1.0 L Santros were known to be slightly lesser fuel efficient though.

Used Santro, ZEN and Wagon R. All great cars with good mileage, A.S.S and Low maintenence. Good diesels difficult in that budget.

Go for an Esteem, you wont regret. My friend got one last week, a 2001 carb model good condition, white LXi, CNG fitted for 135K. If you search you will get such cars in chennai for sure. You will get 13 in city with AC 100% and 15 in Long with AC 100% in petrol n more in Gas so it should fulfill you need very well, i am saying this coz i had an Esteem before.

If long trips are involved, please leave out Omni. It is very difficult to maintain an average speed above 70KMPH on an Omni. (High center of gravity).

I would say...go for an esteem! I bought a 2000 VXi - MPFI model a fortnight back in pretty good condition (brand new tyres,no other work needed) for around 1.75 lacs..drove it from agra to pune...it gave me an average FE of 17 going upto as high as 20 on good roads. Haven't checked in the city yet but im expecting something around 12-13.
My requirements were similar to yours when I was looking around for a used car. Its got a big boot so you won't have to sacrifice much on boot space if you do go for a LPG kit. Maintenance is nominal.

All in all, I am more than happy with my choice..highly recommended!
