Default Used Swift Vxi Or Baleno Lxi 2006

Guys I have come across a swift vxi done 7000kms azure grey asking price is 3,75,000/- and Baleno lxi black done 18000kms price is 3,50,000/-both are stock no fittings or extras . is the price Ok both are 2006 models.

my running is most of it in city and occasional outing once or twice in a year i 'm used to driving a sedan in city. which of the two will be best for comfort and fuel efficiency.

When it comes to comfort Baleno would be the right choice and for fuel efficiency, it is Swift. Baleno is a kind of outdated vehicle and that is clear from the price you have quoted. Again when you would be selling the vehicle, the depreciation of Baleno would be higher than Swift. So if you are looking for a big, powerful and comfortable car, Baleno would be the right choice. Or if you have ecomomy and resale value in mind, go for Swift

I feel that they are both pretty decent cars for the price. Check service records if you can because the mileages look a bit low on the swift for me.
I would pick the baleno though.

Go for Baleno as you are quite used to sedan driving. This is a good car though they have phased out this. It also depends on how many years you intend to keep the car. But Baleno is better in comfort & performance. As you are currently driving a sedan, you will be used to the big space inside the cabin (compared to swift). Swift might look much smaller and not so spacious compared to Baleno.

IMHO the Baleno makes more sense. Ride comfort and performance/Fuel efficiency/space/Air-conditioning. In all an excellent all-rounder.

I own a Swift and my pick would be a Baleno for sure. Once you finalize between these two cars, do go through all the checks

Baleno is almost as fuel efficient as the swift if both are driven in the same manner. I would go for the Baleno any day as it is better than the swift in almost all respects - build quality, comfort, power. Only negative can be the looks..

@rags, looks like you have already finalised (or even bought) the Baleno because I see another thread by you asking for alloys for Baleno.

Both are nice cars and FE would be more of less the same (given that the Swift is heavier). We have both at home and from my experience driving both, I would anyday pick the Baleno.

Is it 18,000 Kms OR 180,000 Kms? That low mileage at that price is a steal. Car wale quotes around Rs.450,000 plus for 2005 models. I feel its a steal at that price, provided that the car is clean. Both Baleno and Swift almost have the same mileage.

I second that. If you can get a Baleno '06 for that price, grab it. Obviously, get it checked before you buy it.

Exactly my thoughts when I saw the year and price of the Baleno in question. And also considering this is at Blore where prices are typically higher.
The Kapico Maruti guys had offered 4.5lacs for my '05 Baleno in exchange for the SX4. So, this does looks like a steal - but then do check the service history and antecedents of the car.
