Swift D Vs Getz D Vs Fusion D

Hi guys,

Just read the latest What Car magazine. A shootout of premium diesel hatchbacks was conducted. Swift DDiS Vs Getz CRDi Vs Fusion TDCi. Thought of having the same in this forum. Did a small search to confirm such a thread didn't exist.

I feel that all three cars have strengths and shortcomings in their different areas. None can probably be a complete package. Getz and Fusion are steeply priced, but are spacious. On the other hand, Swift lacks space, but has a gem of an engine and has max efficiency. Good handling and at a great price.
Anyways, my vote:
1) Swift DDiS
2) Getz CRDi
3) Fusion TDCi

my vote would be:
1.getz crdi
2.fusion tdci
3.swift ddis
well cant really make up my mind for the 2 and 3 position.i like the fusion's looks but like the swift's engine.

Swift DDiS- "Sir, TD car rattles because of rough use sir. If you book now, you will get it in 3 months".

Getz CRDi- "Sir. No TD. Drive Verna if you want. TD car will come after few months only. But you can book now!"

Fusion TDCi- "Sir, car is not selling sir. But we still have sky-high price and no discounts sir. This shows the trust Ford has in the car sir"

I guess I'd pick the Swift, and add Pete's+ ICE+ alloys and tyres. Even then the cost would come almost near to the next highest car only.

Not only TD cars but new cars also have rattles.You can ask suraj about that.Most of the swift has that problem.My pick also swift--Petes +Green Cotton Wind+alloys and tyres.

Looks like me pretty lucky. No signs of rattles till now in my 7-month Swift DDiS. But wasn't this more predominant in the first few batches of petrol cars? I also heard that it was due to the front power windows motor and it was later rectified by Maruti.

No offense intended but this thread is a waste of time. You CANNOT compare these 3 cars IMNSHO.

They are all winners in their own way

Also your going to end up having about 90% of the respondents/voters who have not had experience with these cars.

For example Iv never driven the Ford TDCi but BHPian NIP took the plunge and is having a blast. I can see why !

True all the three indifferent class altogether. But we can compare Swift DDiS and Getz CRDi. Fusion is a separate platform itself. Anyways, my choices are as below:

1) Ford Fusion TDCi.
2) GETZ CRDi.
3) Swift DDiS.

i agree,i had gone to buy the sx4 and the car on display in the showroom had rattles and it hadnt even gone on the road as yet..it just had 3kms on the odo.i sat in the car to get a feel of it,and by mistake i closed the door a lil hard,and the windowpane or something inside the door rattled.pathetic.

some how i hate the look of getz.

and the engine in DDIS is fab.

Swifts quality is very very poor.
