Spares are really cheap & any nukkad mechanic can repair the car. I have also made few trips in it & it never failed. 4 avg people can easily go in it with moderate comfort. In Konkan ghats also it never gave us any problem. Feels safe till speeds of 100 KMPH also. Price wise also its not very higher than Nano.
I personally never used Nano so i cant comment on Nano much. But I have seen the car personally. It looks nice from outside but from inside its not good. Interior feels really cheap than M800. Also feels very unsafe than M800, don't know why. Nano top end model also comes close to 2 lacs on road which is almost near to M800.

So my question is which is the better of these 2 minis? Evergreen reliable M800 or Nano with issues here & there and poor A.S.S.?
Go for Maruti 800 if you want a reliable trouble free car, which is easy to maintain. Though Nano is also a good car but its in initial phase and the spares are also not available off the shelf in the market. Not to mention 800 is more powerful in terms of engine in the two.

If you want peace of mind go for the proven M800. As much as I apreciate the Tatas for bringing out the Nano, there are some quality issues and niggles which need to be sorted out. Moreover, prices are climbing once the first 1 lakh cars(already alloted) are delivered. The M800 is a safe bet. The Nano may or may not be worth the risk.

Also remember, the M800 will be phased out by April 1, 2010 in cities where BS-IV will come into force. So a better option might be to wait till you get a BS IV vehicle.
