Booked the new Getz GVS 1.3. Hows the deal?

Hi Team-BHPians,
I booked a Hyundai Getz GVS 1.3 (yeah its GVS, introduced only in MAY and i would be the dealer’s first customer for the GVS 1.3).
I had to bargain hard for all the accessories that is being given to me and i want to know if i have managed to get a good deal on the car.

Here are the details

On road price : 5,10,738
Freebies : Mud flaps,door mats,, Teflon Coating,steering grip,perfume and idol.
Exchanged the music system for seat covers (Art Leather).
Extra Amount Paid: 14K

This is what i got for the amount :

I got it for : 7500 Market Price (as told to me by the salesman):10k
Remote Locking(AUTOCOP)
i got it for: 2k M.P:3.5k
Body colored Door Handles and Mirrors
i got it for: 2k M.P: 3.5k
Sunfilm (3M/LUMAR)
i got it for : 2.5K M.P: 4.5K


Effective price for me except the music system : 5,24,738

Please advice me if this is a good deal or should i ?

isnt gvs the base model 1.3? seems a bit expensive to me.

congrats matey for the new purchase,you took a wise decision on getting the car but...5.38L you could have got 1.3 GLS model including the windshield heater and rear wipers.No doubt about the Hyundai getz prime for the quality and the fun factor for the drive..cheers

Thanks. Didnt want to spend an extra 24K for the rear defogger and the wiper.
Do you its a good bargain for the GVS 1.3?

with GLS at 5.34, i thought i could live without the rear defogger and wiper, i added the rest of the stuff (wiper, body coloured door handles and mirror) and still manged to save abt 15K. What say?

yess one thing is for sure you got all the necessary accessories for what you paid and its a pretty good deal rest you can invest in a decent ICE one thing i would like to know from you is "If you are happy in getting a new car" we all are happy for you brother 10-20k here and there buying a Rs.5L+ car doesent even count man.

The wise decesion taken was the 1.3L engine,rest all are comfort

The deal looks good to me. The spoiler price is 8.5k and not 10K
As ramie pointed out, when you are buying a 5lac+ car, 10 thousand here and there does not count.

So when are you getting the car, which color and who is the dealer?
Yeah i can see the dealer is advaith as he has quoted 10K for spoiler. Am i right?

FYI Mud flaps, door mats, perfume, idol and sweets are included in delivery charges (5K in your case) and are not freebies.

All Getz variants - be it 1.1 or 1.3 or 1.5CRDi comes with tachometer.

Iam afraid you are wrong.THe getz was first introduced in 3 versions...namely- Getz GL,GETZ GlS and Getz Gls + ABS. The GL version never had a Tacho but I beleive this variant is no more available.

Like I said before this model [GL] was introduced in 2005 along with launch of the car.Maybe it isint available now.

I think you are talking about older Getz series. Now the Getz Prime has tacho in all variants.
