Under 60 K you can consider an esteem also. My cousin sold a '95 esteem in good condition for 55k, a few months ago. Even though condition was good, the price they gave was for the 'model' :( So, if you try, you can get good cars under 60K. It's better if you have an experienced mechanic to check the car before buying.

Default Looking for repairs to my Cielo

Hello All,

I have been looking into various threads for some time now, however this is my first post.

I have a 1996 Cielo, purchased 2nd hand in 2008.
The car was in running condition till about 6 months back.
However it is been sleeping since then... i.e. since Sep 2009. The problem is with the rear submersible pump. The same was not functioning, got ia 2nd hand one from Mullick Bazar. However, even then the problem doesn't seem to have solved. Meanwhile, also changed the high pressure valve and replaced with a 2nd hand one on being told to do so by a mechanic.

I feel the mechanic is working upon his conception and probably hasn't worked upon a Cielo for that reason..

Can anyone please help me out with contact of a reliable mechanic in Kolkata who can help me tide over this issue.

Thanks in advance,

No sir it is not Maruti 1000 , but Maruti Esteem which share same engine as that of Maruti Zen.

And you are again wrong Sir
M-1000 and Gypsy MG410-(W)-Shared the same 970CC 45bhp engine.
Esteem and Gypsy King shared the 1298cc 65/80bhp engine.
Zen had 993 CC 50/59 bhp engine.
