| The price sounds decent, if the odo reading is not too much, if 20k lower, it sure is a good deal I supoose. However it's always good to see the car inperson before buying. |

| Seems like a good buy. But would be interesting to know how many km's the car has run & also it would be better to inspect the car in person . I frankly feel a 2005 model should fetch more than 3 lacs if its well maintained. So i guess if its well maintained it ll surely be worth it. |

| I would have to agree with karanraheja, a well maintained Swift should fetch more. Definitely take a look at the car, know the total kms done, the service history, insurance history et al. If everything is in order, this is a good deal. |

| 1) What is the kms. the car has completed ? 2) Have you taken a test drive of the vehicle ? Confirm the buy only after you have taken a test drive and taken the car to Autorized Service Center. @Karanraheja: Correct, this car should fetch around 3.2-3.3 lakhs. |

| A new on-road VXI without ABS is 4.70 cash price (registration, insurance, discounts etc) outside mumbai octroi limits. So a year used would be close to 360ish and 3 year old should be 3.00ish. Either this car could have some dents, stratches or miles could be high or insurance claimed once. Contact the owner and ask as many questions before seeing the car. If all seems acceptable, so and get the car inspected at any authorized service center you may know of. |

| Senior - BHPian | The deal looks pretty cool. As others suggested whatz the odo reading now? Much depends on this. Also, just take a peek into the history of car and look for any dents / colour variations on the body / underbody and I do hope it will be fully loaded car. Just have a peek into every minute details of the car (go and see the car) and then decide. |

| BHPian | Price sounds good. You can also check websites like carwale, cardekho etc by providing maximum amount of details like kilometers done, year of make, condition (excellent/good/bad) etc to get an indicative price. But, you should confirm to the seller only after inspecting the vehicle in direct. Go with a friend who knows something about cars and inspect the exterior and interior carefully for any dents/scratches. Go for a test drive and drive in both good and bad roads. Keep your ears for any odd sound and feel yourself how the controls like steering/brake/clutch/accelerator work and also the stability (problem with shock absorbers etc can affect this). Check the tires - if they are worn out you will have to choke out at least 20K in the next couple of months. Uneven wear of tires is an indication towards careless use. And now make the call if it is worth for the asking price - provided that the price is good if you are satisfied with all the above checks. |
