Alto 1.1 was good but that is no longer in production. But between the alto 1.1 and the old zen, I would go for the old zen.

Thanx SMG.

Firstly the things which i am comparing the alto and the Zen is performance, handling and braking. In performance the Alto 1.1 will leave the Zen dry for sure. In FE also it does the same but when it comes to handling and braking and stability then?? I know the Alto is ver cramped and zen is more comfortable then it. lets suppose to take them on a circuit then which one would you pick??

I second that! Having driven the car extensively, I feel that apart from interior spacem, its the ideal combination of performance and economy in this segment.

Dunno about the track stuff though. I guess it should do OK with some wider rubber but the stock one sucks big time!

given a 1.1 Alto vs Zen i'd take the Alto for sure ...
It's like a rocket .. handling is tighter than a ratther skiddish zen ,braking again is very much improved and precise than the zen ..i have 800 cc Alto if that can do a quick 125 in 3rd gear ..1.1 will smoke the zen ...

Wow! You did that in 3rd gear? I drove 800cc Alto at 110-120 max. on express way in 4/5 gear and didn't dare to push it any further.

its the zen anytime.
the alto inspite of having the 1.1 engine cannot offer the same pleasure as in a zen.morever it feels very cramped .

both have their pros and cons.but its the zen for me.

zen anytime actually the alto seems quite bulky. The zen is a very compact car and can get in the smallest space and it is fun driving the zen because in the highway or in city traffic the zen would find space for itself
