my wifey liked it , so no discussion over that going to help.
when we compared dzire and i20 she outright rejected the dzire.
then we had almost decided over i20 and then one day we were passsing against honda showroom and i thought of seeing the jazz (now i feel i shouldnt have done that). my wife said that it has to be jazz.. it feels much more comfortable.

If you have highway requirements, you should re-think. If its only city and you don't care about much about re-sale, but only present driving pleasure, then probably you should go ahead.

Please note I am not saying that Jazz has no highway presence. Its just that others are better.

The deal sure looks good. How you long you plan to hold the car? If its long time, then no issues. If you plan to change soon, re-sale would be less as its already one year on the depreciation.

Someone I know in Mumbai is getting a Dec'09 Jazz for about 7.6 lakhs on-road. (inclusive of Insurance I believe) The actual on-road price according to him is 8.5 L approx (can't remember the exact figure). And this figure is more or less offered by most dealers in the city. In addition, he is also getting alloys and some other accessories from the 'active' pack as well. So I think you can haggle for more.
