Santro or Swift or Getz - Team-BHP

Stupid thread starting question na?

This is not for me, it's for a friend. He was asking me, I thought may as well ask the gurus here.

Money isnt an issue, Value is.
I understand the Santro is the cheapest, but like I said, I am purely asking VALUE wise, what is a better car to buy out of those three? Why?

U hav told that money isnt an issue..

1) Santro
U shud not compare this with a swift or getz but it wud have become interesting had the hyundai guys released the Crdi engine for this baby..

2) Swift zxi loaded with all the safety features is the new hot chick in town and i think this is the best bet if you are lookin for more value for money car and peace of mind in the long run. It loses a bit on space and a teeny bit on quality. Engine is more sportier than the Getz.Swift Zxi comes with all the bells and whistles except for the audio system which i think is a gud thing ( U agree i kno)

3) Getz is a gud car too but loses out only on the value for money and slightly executive/conservative looks. It scores high in terms of space relatively though and has a slightly more refined engine than the swift.

We went for the Red Swift Zxi version and its doin great back home..

Swift delivery can be an issue but am sure u can use ur italian connections to gud use and get ur frnd his car..

However Sam if money is not the issue than you should tell what is the criteria for you for the car. As you know, Getz scores over Swift in practicality, trunk space, boot, and better finishing, giving FE of 10kmpl.
Swift on the other hand is a good second car as its cramped on trunk space, its a drivers car, has an attitude, rev happy, better AC, better driving seat, better goodies, better pricing and FE of 11kmpl.
Having driven both cars extensively, I have no hesitancy in saying that I am in love with Swift, it feels a lost faster than Getz and for me performance is an important criteria.
Swift for the heart, Getz for the brain, choose your options...
As per Santro, owning one, I can say its a good city car, but thats it, to compare it with Swift of Getz, will be injustice to Swift or Getz!

A few more details would help in understanding ur friend's needs better !

Driving in the city or is it a mix of the highway/city runs ? etc etc etc ..........

getz all the way saaam...btw swift zxi is still on 3 mnths waiting period..so u wouldnt want to be waiting that long..btw even to install one of those hi-fi systems the getz is a way better car as the quality on the swift more than sucks..and knowing u ur friends would certainly want one..so getz it should be..

If he is a car guy and likes to drive, the Swift. Its a blast and an eye-opener to where small cars have reached in ride quality and chassis balance.

If he is out for practicality, the Getz.

on a minor note, if ur frnd is an audio guy, its getz 4 him as he has more boot space 4 subs. what say guys?

santro top end + 1lac (approx) = getz/swift

Try the ALL NEW alto.
But seriously, the Swift if he drives and the Getz if he is willing to compromise the VALUE bit with Safety, practicility, space, peace of mind and it's not that bad to drive either.

I dont think there is anything wrong with Alto's safety and seating comfort compared to atleast Santro...

emm, safety on an alto like they have on a santro? u must be joking. and mate, how can u compare alto seating with santros? enlighten.

Sam, its Getz or Swift ( top mods), unless ur fnd wears saree often.

I am not joking.. maybe Euro Ncap ratings are.... Alto gets 4 (or more?) and Santro.. no where in picture... I guess you should compare the build quality and safety features of both Alto and Santro yourself before doubting my claims...
As far as seating is concerned, Santro's seats are hard and firm.. thats not the case with Alto.. as far as lumber/underthigh support, i guess all these A/B segment cars are pretty much at the same level...

Err..
guys, i was going o say 800 but changed it last minute.
And the Alto is smaller then the zen. It is only more FE then the Santro.
No comment on safety as both of these are stripped down.
