Guide me for the best Baleno deal - Chennai

Hi:
A dealer has given the following deal for Baleno Lxi. Is this deal good?. How far can we go? What are the things I need to look into while I negotiate?

Baleno Lxi - Ex showroom - 5,74,958
Insurance - 22,016
Regn+Road tax - 45,563
On road price - (6,42,534)
Total cash discount - 72,000

Final price - 5,70,000.

rajan, that looks like a good deal to me. I bought mine a year ago for 5.8L on-road after all the discounts converted to cash. But then, the recent advertisements mention ahigher discount than last year. So, haggle as much as possible. No harm in getting a still better deal, right ?

BTW, also get quotes from the other dealers (there are atleast 4 dealers in Chennai). The tax+regn figures vary from dealer to dealer. You can ask the dealer of your choice to reduce it to the least quoted value.

Does this discount include the loyalty discount? i.e if you exchange your old car for a newer baleno they offer this loyalty discount to an extent of Rs.10k ( iam sure they will balance this with the buyback price of your old car).

What you have with u Seems to be better discount (72k), as far as I know last month the offer was upto 60k without this loyalty discount.

The discounts as of today at bangalore are 65k including corporate discount for the lxi ..

Not in all cases. I had purchased many a cars and never ended up with such sort of bitter experience ( the purchases are for my Company). It also depends on the Sales person with whom you interact. Sorry that it had happened to you.

Buying a car in India today is like Real-estate. U need to be very careful.
Always approach a dealer through a known person.
