Any Shell Filling Station (currently) and most COCO Bharat Petroleum ones seem good to be trusted.

for petro bunk, the IBP bunk near Narayanamma Engineering college on Tolichowki - gachibowli highway is good, its a company owned and both quality and quantity is consistently good. I have filled up about 4-5 tankfulls from there in recent 2 months .If you are coming from gachibowli side, it is located after narayanamma College on the opposite side of road(right side of high way). It is just before that turn at sheikpet.

Default shell normal and super both are 91 octane

And it is for a good reason- shell normal and super both have same octane number(91) ( confirmed by company through mail) .They only differ in additives added to shell super. Obviously not all additives are good to all engines. So, to be safe, stick to shell normal as even with it you get 91 octane petrol. Not sure but same may be the case with shell diesel.

Yes, Mohan auto. Filling since 20 years there and always consistent. IIRC, it was the bunk with the highest turnover in AP.

I had my Santro run uneven when I filled 20 litres from this IBP.
I tried diesel from the IOC next to this and it was fine.

Reviving the old thread.

Guys,
I need some info about the Shell petrol pump near Gachibowli. Is it operational?
Moreover is there any good "Water service" station for four wheelers near to Madhapur?

TIA...

Guys,

I need to get my car serviced and would appreciate your inputs on any reliable service centers in and around the Hitec city area. I was not too satisfied with the quality of work done at Gem motors (Kondapur) the last time I took my car there.

Thanks,
Binoy

Any Updates on Shell Pump near Gachibowli? One of my colleagues told me that he had seen some vehicles getting tanked up in that pump.

Thanks Zen for the update. And Thank god for making it operational .
I hate to go to Shell pump @ Ameerpet, because of the congested Route and autowallahs there.

Another good news is that Shell has started selling normal unleaded petrol in Hyderabad, and the rate is the same as non-Shell bunks.
If you guys remember, Shell started selling only premium petrol from Feb, 2008, and that is the reason I moved away from them. However, I remember getting very good mileage from my car when they were selling normal petrol. I plan to go back to Shell now.

Hi All,

I wanted to reopen this thread as new car owner .

Everybody (in this and other threads) seem to be talking highly of SHELL petrol. Is it true that they sell the best and their outlets are most reliable against adultration?.

I am in Hyderabad(Miyapur) and would love to know which one is the "best petrol bunk" nearby.

Thanks

_Vishal

Shell Pumps are honest and there is zero cheating on the quantity/quality of the petrol/diesel.

That's the reason most of us go to Shell pumps here.
There are few other pumps mentioned here on this thread apart from Shell if you want to give them a try!

The closest Shell Pump to Miyapur will be the one near Gachibowli.
