Nawab motors agreed to give 15k discount+ foot mats+mud flaps+gera lock. They were giving 4% cash discount on finance through them. But i have good reklationship with ICIC so i called them and they agreed for 12% monthly reducing, so for 5.6 lac finance amount the emi they told me will be 14600.
What do you think about the deal i am getting.

Take the deal to sterling, you can wring out 20K.
As for 12% reducing, Tata motorsfinance is having a low interest bonanza with lowest being 5.99% for Xeta, try if you can haggle with the sterling guys.

hey guys 12% with ICICI....?

me too in process of finalising safari, i got in touch with SBI got 11.5%

then approached PNB, me along with dad negotiated down to 9.5%, when my dad pressed him more , he said he can go for 9%, he can even try for 8-8.5% subjected to clearance by higher PNB authorities.Also no exit penalty if i prepay.No gimmicks or hidden cost.

So my advice would be to go for a nationalised banks, they do negotiate.

in the end what you should compare is the total amount you are paying up, after the loan is cleared, intrest rates & finance discounts are full of gimmicks, just caluclate total sum you are ending up paying after loan term & compare different options this way.

I tried with SBI first, but the guy at the loan counter did not talked much just redirected me to teh paper pasted on the wall detailing about rates and emi. I tried ICICI after this exp.
I do not know when some one will wake up in these nationalized banks.

Tata motors any dealer can go up to 20K discount Max. That is 12K dealer disc + upto 8K corp. disc. I have checked this with Staerling Noida, Vivek - Mathura Road, A-One Delhi, Sanya - Delhi.
They all start with 12k+corpDisc. In My case Stearling and Vivek was ready for 19K Disc. but they were not having the Black DLG. I stuck with Nawab. Finaly I got 18k from nawab, and they put gear lock with out my knowledge and said it was by mistake( It costs 2K). I said no..no for that then they nego. with me and closed the deal at 1k.

I got Tata finance at 14.05% with 4.25% payout on loan amount. That comes to 12500/-(after tax).
So final rate was 12.5% around.

If you are getting 9% ROI then I think its at it best.

I have already asked the dealers before taking the delivery, on this interest rate --No dealer Disc., No Finance payout.
OTR Indica DLG TC (Noida) -- 4,34,571/-
with Disc. -- 4,04,xxx/- (taking 30K total Disc.) It reduces the down payment amount.

Angry The Dealer ->NAWAB MOTORS<-Employed All Nawabs

I have taken the delivery of my car on 6th May 2007 and still strugling with NAWAB MOTORS to get the License no.
They hardly bother to
->pickup their phones( mobile/Landline)
->nobody updates on the progress

Its my personal advice that not to go to NAWAB, if some one required to wait for some time for their choice on Model,color then its worth waiting than buying from Nawab. It S***S...........

I have seen three people from NCR looking for safari's
Why don't you guys decide on one dealer, go on the same day and say "We want to buy 3 safari's". I am sure the 15000 discount will become 25000.

As for buying I say go to sterling, they are bad but better than some others.
It actually depends on the salesman. If you get a good one they follow up.

So just go as a group, and get a group discount.
