Good choice! From what I hear demand for DDis in Mangalore is not as high as other cities in the south so you can expect an prompt delivery.

cant one buy the vehicle from mangalore and get it registered in bangalore ?!

u can buy it from mangalore and register it there itself.
I know a friend of mine who did that. Bought his swift in udupi and drove it to blr(He got the delivery in 1 week, whereas in blr there was waiting period of 3 months).

but for this to work, you must have some addr proof of other city(reqd for registration purpose).

Most definitely, still a very viable option for bangaloreans. Biggest mistake I made was not booking in Mysore.

Fellow Mysorean, eh. Where are you from in Mys?
I called up all the dealerships in and around Bangalore, for the car. Tumkur was kind of promising. Mysore - no go.
As usual, I am No.2 on the witing list in RNS. I suppose I should go over and have a nice chat with the manager.

Not from Mysore magga but my dads ex-employer has taken over a Maruti dealership there recently.

I was No.1 on the list in Pratham since September 17th.
No.1 to be taken for a ride that is!! Iv learnt that the words mean nothing even if its coming from the Management cadre.

Today I got a "confirmation" for despatch of my vehicle on November 20th. When asked if it is 100% confirmed the answer I get is "Depends on Maruti's support to the dealer." So what really is going on here?

Also we are booking an Alto, dont know whether to goto Pratham and bargain or take the business elsewhere because of the shabby treatment Iv encountered. Either way they wont feel any pinch.

Do you feel like intercepting the truck midway and then driving you car down? I contemplated the idea, but discarded it as finding the truck part was too difficult.

My vehicle too was dispatched on Friday, and should be here in a couple of days or so.
Just running around for all the loan formalities at the moment.

OT : Thats funny , I have not seen any DDiS smoke in Calcutta ( many of them drive pretty fast) . I also was worried of the smoking issue but I had told shuvd to tailgate my car and he confirmed that there was no smoking at all. I think it is an ECU issue .We may see a circular doing the rounds pretty soon within Mohan Motors for the smoking issue !

Booked our pearl white Vdi 10 days back. Dad wants to take delivery only in December 2nd week. So the wait continues. Can't wait to join the bandwagon.

Hey nice, didnt know this. You shouldnt have a problem with the delivery considering your practically an insider at RNS

Anyhow VDi's are getting delivered within 20-30 days from what my friend told me.

Btw was a white vdi available ready delivery at sah and sanghi.Was picked up by one of my friends.Came upto 5.81 on road mumbai minus the ABS.
