Default 4th Service - Honda City VTEC

My VTEC has not reached 9000 Km mark when it is required to go for the 4th service, i want to check with you guys should i get it serviced anyways as 3 months have passed for the last service or i can wait... Reading is just at 5000 Km as of now... to reach 9000 Km it will take long time...

Please suggest.

Thanks
Udit

if you use it sparingly, then the service interval should be 5000 km or 12 months - whichever comes earlier.

but honestly - your service center guys might be taking you for a ride - where in delhi do you go ?

isnt the interval of 5000kms too frequent for a petrol car? or does it vary from car to car? Just curious!!

Dont Honda themselves claim the service intervals are every 3 months? I dont own a Honda but remember someone saying the manuals also specify this.

I thought the service intervals are 10,000 Km OR 6 Months whichever comes earlier.

Nope, Honda wants you to service the car every 6 months (after crossing 10000 kms). Its the dealers which want to service your car every 3 months!
