Hi Ajay.
I can see everyone is quoting a wait period of 3 to 6 months. If you know some one in the dealership, you can get it early.
You can try RNS motors. I hope you may get it within 1 month.

It's of no use. Unless u know somebody in top in any dealerships. Its impossible to get within 1 month unless u shell of some extra money to the dealer.

P.S: RNS is quotig 5~6 months when I enquired about a week back.

Ajay,

It is not all the time the waiting period for Swift/Dzire VDI goes to 5 or 6 months. The booking and delivery is totally in the hands of the sales guy you contact. Every showroom in Bangalore will stock VDI's in their yard to deliver it to other dealers in nearby towns. So the sales guy can really help you getting the car soon if some booking gets cancelled or the other customers finance or loan approval getting delayed. So catch hold of the sales guy and keep on tracking it with him, and some prior tip to that guy will really help. I did the same thing when I bought my Dzire VDI in May 2009, but in Chennai and the waiting period was less than 2 months.

My son got delivery of his swift VDI in 2 weeks. from bimal whitefield. He was not specific about colour and it was end of the year. so another swift VDI joins the family. Incidentally also happens to be silver

Last sunday I checked with Bimal (Old Airport Road) and they told me, they can deliver a Swift VDI in less than 2 months. They have good stock, so if color doesn't matter, you can get it even sooner.

Dear Members,
To day on return from Auto Expo 2011 Chennai in Nandambakkam, I dropped in ABT Maruti and met my SE. We discussed about booking. It has been decided to book tomorrow for a ZDI. The variant can be changed at any time and the seniority will sustain. Please see the chart for the waiting time.

In Bangalore and 'on paper' it is 6 to 8 months. Issue is that no one knows for certain. Most dealers are sitting on large bookings of the VDI & ZDI.

Manesar is currently rapidly getting back upto speed; I understand that dealers will receive the first despatch details only in mid-September with cars reaching them end-September.

Usually, they get a mixed bunch of vehicles including all variants. Exactly where the status of a Swift ZDI at a particular dealer is will become clearer once the regular flow starts.

Right now, NO ONE has any idea.
