| Team-BHP Support ![]() | Some time ago I was recommended Auto engineers to for my Indica's suspension overhaul. That time I went to Khan market. Now was the time for service, and I decided to go to Auto engineers. First step was to find either Chevron Delo or Valvoline durablend in Sec 16 market noida, which turned out to be useless. Some shops had the Shell helix ultra synthetic oil (2400 for 4 liters), but no diesel specific synthetic or semi synthetic oil. So I reverted back to the fallback option, the Castrol GTX diesel 15W40. So I purchased STP engine flush+Oil/diesel filter kit+Engine oil+STP engine oil treatment from a shop there and headed over to Auto Engineers, for the change. He was asking for 150rs for service, but we bargained at 100. First thing he tells me why Elofic kit. This is what taxi guys use. Get the delphi diesel filters, and as for oil filter he has them in stock. So back I go with the kit. Elofic 2 diesel filter+1 oil filter = 200. Delphi 2 diesel filters = 240 rs. Quite a difference, but Delphi is Tata OEM, so that makes more sense. First he starts with the engine flush(last flush was around 30000kms back). Idling for 15-20 minutes with flush, we are set to go, Drains the oil, checks around for leaks etc.,fills in new oil and additive. Next step he checks all the fluids without me telling him(something which TASS guys never do). The car needs 50ml of brake oil, and coolant is near the low mark too, so 1 liter of coolant(Valvoline, 100rs) also goes in. Then he takes out the air filter, and thoroughly cleans it, not the botch up job of minor compressed air, but proper cleaning with compressed air and cloth, and he did so for around 5-6 minutes till dust stopped blowing out of the filter completely. After that he cleaned the air filter housing too. All this was done without me telling them to do so. Which is really impressive. Their commitment to the job is great, and now I know where to go next time my car needs a service! Total cost 1. Engine oil 4 lts = 650 2. STP flush = 190 3. Oil filter + Diesel filter = 335 4. Coolant = 100 5. Brake oil = 15 6. STP additive = 190 7. Labor charges = 100 |
