They do an excellent job. I take my car there once a month for a full underbody wash. All the steps mentioned above in the previous posts are carried out.
I think you are referring to Stephen, the guy has a small garage also nearby excellent if you have a maruti vehicle, esp ol models (carbed)

Anyone knowing a car wash somewhere in/near Jaynagar ?
Heard there is one @ Tilaknagar but never been there?
Even Audogudi will do!

My ECU is inside the dashboard (in the left corner)! Can not be accessed unless the dash is completely opened
The ECU in my car sits in the engine bay and is bare. Hence I insist that they cover it.

IMPOSSIBLE. They have never charged anyone whom I recommended that place any amount more than Rs. 150/- (you excluded of course).

  • Yes they use a cloth for washing. Usually big pieces of old cotton sarees that do not give out threads when wet. The cloth is reused.
  • Cloth drying.
  • Rs. 100/-

Please go there with Rs. 150/- in your pocket because that is what you are supposed to pay. Do not start with diffidence.

I think you should stop giving an excuse of your non-nationality being a reason for getting duped everywhere. I had told you the price it takes for a car wash there and you should have paid that. In and around Pune, I have never paid anything more than Rs. 200/- for a car wash. The Rs. 200/- car wash review coming up tonight with pictures.

Name: Hi-Tec Auto wash
Location: University Road (Very close to the new flyover at F.C. Road jn.)
Rates:
  • Complete wash and wax: Rs. 200/- (Includes automatic car wash using state of the art machinery running on hydraulics)
  • External wash: Rs. 150/- (Wash the car body and dry it).
Driving Directions:
  • On north end of F.C. Road towards university take a left.
  • You'll come across a huge H.P. Pump on your left.
  • Take a left in the lane adjoining this petrol pump and the washing center is on your right at about 10 meters once you turn left.

Here is the procedure they follow for a car wash:
  • Remove mats from the car. Blow compressed air everywhere with all the doors open for dust to escape.
  • Spray water on the car and apply liquid shampoo on the exteriors.
  • Rinse the soap.
  • Turn on the machine which does rest of the job without human interference.

I chose this place because my car was covered in tree sap and it wouldn't go so easily even after 2-3 repeated washes at Sagar.
The machine wash was what helped. Thats the only reason I visited this place although I know it from quite some time.

Service is ok ok. There is a long queue of cars always since they have just one bay. Short staffed facility with just 2 guys doing all cars and bikes coming their way. Nice underbody jet sprays used to clean the underbody.

Here are a few poor quality pics taken from my cell phone:

Hope this helps.

Thanks MF.

It really helps.
Just one question - this automatic machine is "contact" type or "non-contact" type? Will it leave any swirl marks?

Default Feedback on Sagar washing center

Hi All,

Went to Sagar's based on the initial inputs from here. They did a thorough job...considering that the petrol pump waala then asked me if I wanted a PUC for my new car )

I meant if their cleaning brush touches the car or is it pure pressure wash...

I went to them on Sunday 6:45 PM. They were closed :-(
It seems they close a bit early on Sundays...

Then I found a pressure wash, air spray facility (pretty much street side) on my own Pashan - Sus road. They are at the intersection of Sus road and Balaji mandir road. very plain, uncomplicated place. Open air, but they have a ramp for underbody wash.

They charge Rs. 150 for NHC size cars (complete body, underbody, engine wash + air cleaning of the cabin). Decent. Just one catch - they rub the washing cloth on the floor under hose water to clean it and use on the next car

I had taken my car to Sagar Auto care yesterday. Almost missed the place.. but luckily I had the window down and heard the sound of air and water being sprayed !! Excellent service @ Rs 250 for interior + exterior + engine wash.. I was a bit worried about water getting into the cabin via the underbody and flooding the CarPC below the front seat !! Told them about this and they took care while spraying the underbody on the left side of the car.

Don't try it. First of all its a pain to get parking at E-Square which is why I never watch any movies there unless someone is driving me there. They have a valet service which sucks and banged a team-bhpians brand new Civic while parking.

Not well equipped to even hold one car in the shade they have. Good to park your bike in and get a wash while you catch a movie but nothing great about them when it comes to quality.
