hey guys,

as all the motor feaks must know, there is a whole stretch of car dealerships in delhi around rama road and shivaji marg next to moti nagar. it also had a skoda dealership - "Silvertone Motors" just opposite the gm dealership autovikas.

from around 1 month or so the dealership has packed up and gone. can anyone confirm if its shifted, closed or undergoing some change or something

The Silvertone motors showroom at Okhla phase-II was there when I drove past a few days ago. Will check when I cross that area again.

In any case, customers weren't very happy with Silvertone and most had moved to Continental.

I had heard in the trade a few months back that Silvertone's contract with Skoda was finishing in Spetember & was not going to be renewed. Maybe that was true.

Just saw the Silvertone dealership yesterday at Okhla with all the usual Skoda cars in their showroom. Saw this while going for the service of my chevy vehicle at Regent whose workshop is just behind Silvertone.

Continental is pretty good. If not the best ( Sai automobiles holds that record)

yesterday while passing in front of the showroom i saw that they have completely moved out and have constructed a brick wall on the whole main entrance thereby completely closing the main entrance. i believe that they have closed shop.

Many more may close due to the Bad Service Or Economic Condition.

Silvertone has 2 service centres in Delhi 1) at Okhla Phase 1 2) at Motinagar Najafgarh Road. The latter may have shut down because he has opened a new service centre at Gurgaon. I am surprised to hear one member state that his dealership is coming to an end. Before Diwali, I had my car serviced at Okhla and the place was choked.

There are only 2 skoda stations that i like

One is sai motors in noida
and other continental auto ( Mathura Road)

This dealer still exists as a visit to Skoda's website confirms.

silver tone moti nagar was closed about 18 months back. There is a new skoda showroom and workshop-Fahrenheit automobiles opposite to harpreet ford, near the now defunct volvo showroom, also a new VW showroom is there on the same building.

Yeah, Fahrenheit's got a cool showroom and VW dealership too. Right next to the flyover.
