Default lost my car documents(xerox copies) should I worry ?

Hi, I had given my car for service in Prerana Motors,OMR, BLR. I had kept the xerox copies of the vehicle docs in the glove box, but upon delivery of the vehicle today, found that the docs are missing. I told the same to the SA but he is telling he can't trace it now

Guys, what should be done ? Can I just forget them as they are copies ? My worry is, whether some one can misuse the docs.. As we know, there are umpteen ways in which people get in to trouble and hence would like to know what is the best way to tackle this ?

Nope, copies are okay to be lost. Thats why you keep copies in your car and the originals in a vault at home.

Rest easy - make more copies and distribute them even during the coming diwali.

Joe - losing copies is fine. Your worry that these can be misused is misplaced. If someone can indeed do something with those copies, they could have just taken copies of the copies you kept in the car and kept the "original copies" back in your car

so its just a case of the service centre having misplaced the same. so no worries

That should not be a cause for any anxiety. If such xerox copies could have had any nuisance value, the RTO brokers have lots of them.Originals are valued the most and not clones!!

Yeah, forget it!

Nothing much to be done with the xerox copies. For forgery, they have even more innovative ways.

No worry at all. As long as your originals are intact with you there is no worry at all.
Make another set of xerox and keep it in glove box and chill.

It is ORVM (Outer Rear View Mirror) - we cannot afford to be incorrect here. Lives depend on the information we post.

Talking about documents. Should I keep the photocopies in the car? I always have the originals in the car. But I don know why I have the photocopies in the bike.
