Default Noise in Santro after servicing at Rishabh Motors

Dad had been getting his Santro serviced from Suhrit for a long time but with Suhrit shutting down , he tried Samara once, I asked him to goto Hyundai Plaza, but he saw Rishabh Motor on the way and decided to go there. This is 26th November.

The SA there advised my dad to get an engine flush and a Anti Rust coating (this car is already 6 years old and has never had one). He also got dry-cleaning done.

Some costs are :

Engine Flush - 700
ART - 1400
Dry Cleaning - 700
Engine Oil 538 for 3.1 ltr engine oil
P.Maintenance Service - 750

Total - Rs. 6300
They delivered the car in the dark so dad couldnt check if wash job and cleaning was done properly. When I saw the car next day I couldnt believe it had been cleaned from inside. Even the Learning sticker I had placed around 1.5 years ago had its glue on the windscreen pointing to the cleaning done by them.

But the main thing was yet to come, the car was making noise, when I do the ignition , it makes noise like its a truck and also the general noise level has increased and a slight squeaky constant noise is also heard. One of my dad even said his car sounds like an old diesel TATA car. None of these problems were there before the servicing.

For a month we waited for a followup call, since dad and I both are busy for most of the week, we didnt take the car to them ourselves. However, no feedback call came, this is the first time ever that we did not get a service feedback call from them. I get my Maruti serviced at Competent and MSM and both are prompt with service calls and also taking action on feedback.

Now I have written an email to Hyundai regading this incident and have asked them if the engine flush could be causing the noise or anything else and have asked them to take up the matter with the dealer. The noise at ignition is really unbelievable and is sustained afterwards also although it lowers in intensity.

Could it be an issue with the silencer also ?

Very difficult to tell without actually hearing / seeing the vehicle but it could be that some of the bearings (engine, water pump, gearbox etc) have worn out which could be the culprit here

Sorry to hear about the poor experience with Rishabh Guys. Since my case was with the Bodyshop guys, their Manager was very cooperative at all times. Take the car to Rishabh and tell them to fix it, and if they don't agree then resort to shouting. It did work in my case with HMP.

A little correction in the 1st post : Its one of my dad's friends and not one of my dad :P , sounds weird.

@kannan666 - The noise is like that of over-revving an engine. Maybe they have set the idling rpm too high, but it wasnt like that before the service. Its like a loud vrooom sound as we do the ignition, the sound peaks and then stabilizes at a lower level but still very loud.

Anyway, I got a call from them around an hour ago only, the guy there told me that my dad's phone was unreachable hence they couldnt contact him for service feedback (yeah sure). He has offered to redo the cleaning and check out the noise. We will take the car to him on Saturday, I will keep everyone posted. Turns out mailing Hyundai really works.

I had emailed to cr@hmil.net only, today I got a letter from them giving me a free dry cleaning but the letter does not mention the noise thing. Their driver who was to deliver the letter went to the wrong address so I only have the digital copy of the invitation. Its signed by their CRM.
