Actually you can use this to extract some discount from the dealer.

Yes, you would have to pay a premium - and why on earth would you want to do that if you've already waited 5 months! As Anirudha mentions below, you should squeeze the Dealer to throw in a few accessories for free

Suggest you to take this up with Toyota seriously. I am sure the dealer is making a quick buck by giving away your car to someone else. Dealers are like hyenas, always looking for an opportunity to cheat someone.

Use this opportunity to get some free accessory from these guys.

No I am not going to pay any premium, I was just asking. I called up the sales guys he said there is no car alloted to us in black color (which I booked)

I told him that Customer Care was asking me if I want to file a complaint against the but I told him that I am on hold on filing complaint at the moment. sale guy said he will send an email to authorities and would inform me by tomorrow.

BTW, if I willa sk him for the accessories or some other discount he has an excuse that due to climatic conditions there is a delay and he said very confidently that there is no black color they got as of now.

No harm in asking dealers if someone can give you Delivery earlier without any mention of premium.

Default Go for the BMW

Well I would strongly recommend that you forget the Fortuner and go for the BMW X 1. You will just have to stretch your budget by a few lakhs for the German BMW and I am sure you will not regret it.

The X1 has a six month waiting period (at least in Gurgaon), even if he was keen on going for it.......

Not intrested in Entry Level BMW. Not keen to wait for another year to grab a Pajero sport in 2012. I will either get the Fortuner by this Month end, obviously without paying any premiums. If I dont get any, I will ditch fortuner and will go for a Used 5 series.

Glad you realized this mate. Many people pay jump and get a base X1 just for the BMW badge. What many folks don't realize is that the BMW 1 series is based on the Mini platform now owned by BMW.

Good decision Godfather
No Bemer can be as reliable as a Toyota.
How many Toyotas have you seen being towed ?
How many bemers or German cars have you seen being towed?
