I hear that the 280 CDI is a V6 and INCREDIBLY smooth. Diesels are beating petrols to the pulp...

Autohangar's ad on the last page on Times drive seems to be very misleading. The 0 to 100km/hr firgures of the E280 (Petrol) is correctly stated as 7.3sec whereas the E280Cdi is wrongly stated as 8.6sec! When the actually the E280 Cdi touches 100km/hr in just 7.6
Firgures mentioned are as per the MB-UK website as the specs on the India version are identical.

I wonder why Autohangar has released slower speeds for the CDi..maybe since teh Petrol cost 1 lakh more and everyone seems to be buying Cdi's over the petrol E's...if this is a marketing gimmick to increase sales of the petrol then its very unethical.

Scooby- Congrats! Fantastic machine i must say, the E280 Cdi convinced me on how good german diesels are. One of the most fun to drive machines currently on indian roads.
I presume to fetched a handsome discount on the car since MB has had to pull its socks up with the heat coming up from the BMW stable?
