| BHPian | Note from Mod : The 2012 Toyota Fortuner has been reviewed at this link (Toyota Fortuner 4x2 (MT & Automatic) : Test Drive & Review). Please continue the discussion over on the new thread. Here are one of the first spy pictures of the Toyota Fortuner Face-lift! It might also come in with the introduction of the rumored 4 speed automatic and xenon headlamps, LED tail lamps, a new, much improved ICE and other small additions. Engine and other technical bits are expected to remain the same. Here are the pictures ![]() ![]() IMHO, it looks a little toned down. Sportier, but less butch. Softer than the current Fortuner for sure ![]() Thanks to indianautosblog for the information and the pictures. | It looks a lot like the LC now ! I liiike ! The ICE certainly does need a serious upgrade. Hope the dash gets a facelift too. These spy pics look from the south-east asian market. It will be a while before this facelift and autobox makes it here. I'd presume it would be close to the end of the year if not 2012. |

That said, what happened to the classic boxy SUVs? Why is everyone going after curves and swoopy headlights. Endy, Safari Merlin, now this. Last edited by Dry Ice : 20th May 2011 at 18:26. | |

| IMO, more than the exterior changes T-fort should get interiors changed, I think many owners feel that they are sitting in Innova by paying a Fortune Last edited by 2500cc : 20th May 2011 at 18:30. |

| The facelifted Fortuner's face looks so much better! Looks more angled and proportionate. Bring it on Toyota! |

| BHPian | Right said Sir. The exteriors of the Fortuner never lacked anything. In fact it was one of the key selling points too. It was the Interiors that needed a serious makeover and better choice of colours for the dashboard. An improved ICE and braking system were also much needed. |

| Senior - BHPian | Is it headed to India? As the blog says, it is to be unveiled for Indonesia. IMO, the current TFrot carries a much desired macho image and it should be maintained in some form or other to keep its image. But the vision in these images gives quite a toned down look. A new and better functional ICE seems must with some innovations to the existing Innova'ish interiors. |

| It surely looks more LC, more premium. Now it looks more value for money, I hope they up the tech too. The all time 4x4 is too old school, not to the liking of 90% urban SUV & 10% real SUV kind of usage what we are used to now a days. And god please somebody ask them to change the interiors. |

| Well, what do these people think? Current LC200 owners are already faced with questions like "Where did you buy that big grille for your Fortuner?" or "Why does your Fortuner look different at the front end"? Now if this FL comes through, you spend Rs 85L + OTR (hear that it is now 89L) and still getting mistaken for a 20L Fort? A perfect way for alienating your potential LC customers who are already being tempted by the sub- 70L sticker prices of the Q7 and the GL. |

| BHPian | Fortuner-----> Face lift-----> looks like landcruiser. It wouldn be very wise of toyota to keep two cars of different segment looking same. UNLESS, you have a updated landcruiser on the way. |

| I like the new looks, however it seems to have lost the aggressiveness. Any snaps of how the rear and side look. When is it expected in India? |
