Default Upper limits of an indian car

Hey all,

Just a thought but what would be the "outer limits" atainable on say an esteem? I'm thinking that for the price it would be very hard to beat, Decent model esteem or even zen, with a ~150bhp engine(like turbo 4age). Here in bangladesh that could be done in under Rs.3 lakhs and I'm prety sure it would be quite fast

Anyways transmision is the limiting factor IMHO, like what indian gearboxes can handle 400 bhp? I'm really curious if it\n theory a mahindra scorpio could be fited with a 500bhp twin turbo 1uzfe(bad example maybe). THanks for any input.

Buddy all this is already hapening. Change the gearbox. Esteems having 130bhp engines are there(VIPER) and Scorpio wont be able to handle 150BHP in its current suspension leave alone 500BHP. We have to wait for LOTUS.

Guess that was a little incoherent. Judging from the tuned v-tec thread I'm thinking 250bhp is around the current limit? For a reasonable cost could a baleno trans handle something in the order 200bhp? (twin turbo 7age)
