Finally a decent looking vehicle from Maruti which holds immense potential to rake up a huge wait list provided its priced right. It looks Very well proportioned for a UV. Nice to see such designs coming from Maruti.

Not a bad problem to have ie demand exceeds the supply, may be the Dezire CS will eat into the Dezires demand and if that happens and they have a bandwidth of 5-6 K engines per month and Ertiga sees that kind of sales it will make the day for Maruti at 6 K per month it will be the best selling MUV/MPV far exceeding the Innova and the XYLO.

That's what I also wonder. Even Honda gives such a huge discount, why can't Maruti do that?

Seeing Ertiga and Innova side-by-side, we can clearly tell the difference - one is hatch car-like, and the other is MUV-like.

Really looking forward to the launches of both these in the next few days.
Looks like it will be the Ertiga as the EcoSport is more than a year away!

Regarding driveability, which one is he referring to? petrol or diesel or both have good driveability?

What does he say about the ride comfort over bad roads? I hope they have not made it too stiff.

He drove a diesel. I guess both of them will have comparable power close to 90 bhp.

BTW, short rear overhang compared to Innova means less bouncy ride than Innova in the third row.

No, I didnt mean that at all, I think the Petrol will start from 6.0 lakhs. He didnt mention that the diesel will start at 6 Lakhs what he said and I am quoting is "The pricing will start from 6 lakhs and will go upto 8 lakhs".

For sure. A 7-seater Innova-like Maruti label will always excite the large number of families, for whom, a car is basically a six-letter word -- M.A.R.U.T.I.

Eagerly awaiting a 5-star road test of the Ertiga from the moderators. Am also hoping that the Eeco gets a 3-4 cylinder diesel engine in the near future. A diesel Eeco could well be a poor man's Ertiga.

General question:
Why isnt there a brake pad on the disc brake behind the alloy?!
