Exclamation ICML testcar

Could this be the ICML's new SUV they were working on??? After Rhino, they might have planned on a different league. Just a Wild Guess!! You never know!

The MH 14 temp plates point to the Tata Motors ERC / plant at Pimpri. The front grill looks Tata-ish to me as well.
What really makes me think this is the New Safari is The twin exhaust - we've been hearing about a new engine being developed for the new Safari for quite some time which incorporates twin exhausts. (a 3.5 l iirc)

Does it say CBUTEST ? I think its a landrover being tested. The slope in the back seems very similar to Landrover.

Considering the view from the rear 3 quarters, it does not appear to be a Landy. Landys normally "sit" very well and not "stand up" like in the case of a Scorpio. Landys normally do not have huge "unused" space in the wheel wells.

Sonalika never planned another vehicle, as far as I could hear in the past.

Based on the last two pictures of Sid, I have a strong gut feel that this IS the new Safari. It just looks like it. Wow! This is my wish for 2011.

Hi, This definetely looks like the new Force SUV. Also checked with Tata Motors regional office here about the new tata safari which is a year away from now. Changes confirmed are as follows:
 • Same Engine 2.2 L , 140 PS
 • Change in the front head lamps
 • Change in the rear tail lights
 • No spare wheel on the tail gate
 • Same design (Front, rear and side)
 • Minor changes to the interiors
The vehicle will only be due for launch by the third quarter of 2011, cause TML do not want to cannibalize on the sales of the Aria.

kahani mein twist?

Am following the same thread on ACI and found this..

Guangdong Foday explorer (pics courtesy ACI forum)

compare the front end of the camoed vehicle and this, maybe Force motors are doing something like rebranding this Chinese SUV and launching this, similar to Zotye rio=Premier rio?

Great find Sidindica,

Pretty sure that is the camouflaged vehicle.
I was really sceptical when Force announced plans for a premium SUV, especially since the minimal amount of R&D done on their existing line up. But looks like they have gone the Premier route and assemble cheap chinky kits, perhaps they using their own powertrain.

I think this fad will go on for sometime, maybe sell a few to people falling for the cheapness factor and then slowly die off.

The front of that SUV looked much better camouflagued!
Looks like the identification is bang-on.
