Is there a issue between Fiat and Pakistan? Sad to see Fiat is not acting quickly on such attacks. The same is reflected in their partner's attitude(TATA) with respect to customer support.

And see what they have written "WTH!!! Again Hacked lolz.... You forgot to change your Passes =D, What kind of Security experts you hired for your website." This has made me LOL and disappointed too.

Who the hell visits that site anyway? Going by their sales figures, they might as well shut it down and save on the hosting fees

Fiat should use this to market themselves as a true Indian car brand.

They are the only ones being consistently attacked by these Pakistani hackers.

Oh. And hire some good IT security consultants.

P.s: It seems that the site has been hacked close to their new 2012 range launch date.

Why not save time by not discussing this in a separate thread with so many replies?

What ever be the news on Fiat (Good, Bad, etc, etc.,), it has now become a tradition to bash this manufacturer for no reason.

Fiat and its Web hosting people acted swiftly and cleaned up the Website. Hacked page gone within 2 Hrs of reporting it.
Hope they ask id8labs to secure the website, as this is the last bit of publicity that Fiat India needs, that too just before the Auto Expo 2012.!

I had missed the thread somehow on the previous occasion but am amazed that the hackers managed to do it a second time , as Fiat says every sales and service department is with Tata, they will say the same for this mishap too.

Just hope they up the ante and do with some better hacker protection, getting hacked by the same guy 2 times is not good.

This is a OT and mods may delete if they want to.

Going by their car sales figure wont alone make you do good, just learn and read how many 1.3 diesel mills does Fiat supply to various manufacturers, the royalty it gets on every Swift DDis, if it had to survive on only car sales, it would have been tough, do calculate the number of 1.3 diesel engines this company sells and then we can see if it needs to save hosting fees or not.

I just did small analysis on the website. According to alexa.com Fiat India's website is ranked at 5,265 among millions of websites in India. And the keywords like fiat, fiat punto and fiat linea has some decent search volumes in google.

After all, it seems to be not a bad idea to hack Fiat's website

It looks ok now. Maybe they resolved it.

It is quite possible hackers are trying every autosite, it is just Fiat site was vulnerable. I remember my alma mater's supercomputer center's site used to have daily 1000+ attacks. In fact, if on any day the number was less, it used to ring alarm bells. This is 90's data.
