The Official Your Spy Pics Thread. - Team-BHP

Hey Moderators,

I was wondering the possibility of starting a new official thread where people could post the spy pictures of the mules/test cars/prototypes that they spot.
I think many people would appreciate it (I certainly would) as it will enable them to view all the spy pics directly.

I have also seen it on some other forums and thought it would work on India's only worthy automotive forum.

We can have this thread as the Official Spy Pics thread (obviously taken by members). However we cannot have discussions about them in one single thread. Although if they haven'e been discussed elsewhere we can discuss it here.

So guys go ahead and post ur spy pics here. Also post details like where u took the pic, how u took the pic, did anyone object to takin pics etc etc. Share ur experiences here.

Well I'll start with my pics.

The Tata Indica Station Wagon (as it was referred to before its launch).
The first spy pic taken by me. We were on our way to our Panvel house through the Mumbai-Pune Expressway when suddenly a camouflaged car passed us. And before I could tell my cousin and my dad this was the "to-be-launched" Indica Station Wagon, we could see 2 more cars approaching us from behind. Off came by camera (was a roll camera then) and I took a pic when this car passed us. The driver saw us taking pics and asked what I am upto. I just replied that I am taking pics. The cars then sped off and I could just manage another pic of both the cars from the rear. The above picture was published in on of the BSM issues.The other test car (white) is also visible in this pic.

Nice pic V12....... i have see these on the e-way too along with the City rover, the TL4x4, and a couple of load luggers......

How can the drivers object if we take pictures? They bring the car out in the public eye and expect to go un-noticed!! You were taking a pic of the scenery and he came in the way..... he's at fault!!

Recently i snapped a high-profile Bentley Flying Spur on MG Road and was almost picked up by the hefty security..... we rode off..... he kept screaming...delete the pic!!! hahahaha

I was like.....wats your problem dude....i was snapping the tree!!! hahahahah

Description: This was first time i saw the car and took pictures with my Nokia 6230. I also saw a chequered car again on Outer Ring Road few days later and took some quality shots with my dig camera. The engineer objected and we almost had a fight with him. have got his picture shouting at me. He came out of the car in the middle of the road many times just to stop me from taking the car's pictures. Those pictures are in India so cant post them at the moment, but if I get a chance I will.

Description: Got this picture as i sent it to someone, so dug it out of the sent mail..... the quality is much better... Notice the couple of minor dents under the number plate, looks like somebody has hammered it once from inside and once from outside. But on a test car?

I would second that.....

but strictly the cars that are confirmed to be launched in India. Half of the cars repoted to come to India, even in the magazines, never actually come here.

also, the idea for the thread was just spy pictures and scoops, but i really dont mind pics of " to be launched cars"

What do you think?

Not really, as most of these cars are now in the open market.
If there are spy pics of something new, they can be in a new thread and i'm sure they will get the attention they deserve for as long as the car remains unseen...

Yesterday i spotted 3 Wagon-R's with their face and rear masked, they were headed to ARAI........Didn't have my camera with me....

The cars were HR registered, which means they were straight off the assembly line.......looks like we're gonna get an all *new* Wagon-R soon!!!

Has anybody else from pune spotted the trio?

Doesnt the ARAI have a holiday on Sunday? Once every few days I wait outside the ARAI gates in the evening to catch a glimpse of yet unreleased vehicles, but all I manage to see are some three wheelers, lotsa trucks and the occasional bike.
