None other than the XUV , the launch has just blown away the competition.

voted for XUV as its a fresh design and a pure VFM product. Wish we have polls for different categories, car/suv/premium/luxury. i would have voted for Brio for COTY.

Yes I agree. But there are too few new models on the road each year.

If it wouldn't have been for the fact that I have booked Swift I would have also gone with the trend and chosen XUV.

XUV it is (hopefully will emerge the final winner) ! Just shows that a lot of people are taking this one seriously and I think this is a point our car manufacturers must not miss - seems to be the best Segment to target with VFM pricing and it will be a winner

Can see that the XUV is going to win by a huge margin, but voted for the Swift.
Wish the Eon, Brio, or Liva had brought something more to the table. All competent. Not one had me saying 'Why didn't anyone else think of that'.
Swift because it shows how to keep a successful formula live. And relevance to market.

For me, it was Eon, Verna Fluidic and XUV5oo.
Fluidic was first in my mind for its outstanding design and, also for it was coming right against the proven and mighty City.
Eon surely a great car, but something as core as the engine should have been better.
Swift didnt have any competition anyways, and was already a proven player, so I did not consider as a new entrant.
XUV5oo - no words to describe, except for the last row seating which is non existent and the dashboard glare into the windscreen, its a masterstroke at the current pricing levels by Mahindra.

So with equal ratings between Fluidic and XUV, I decided to vote for an Indian car!

Frankly, I think both Fluidic and XUV5oo deserve to be CARS of the year!

none other than XUV500 !

no other launch was such a hit considering its price segment.

What is M&M gonna give back to us (voters?),Give us a Thar which has a beautiful hard top and better interiors ,that all we ask for!

Because Cruze was not launched in 2011. The poll is for Car of the year 2011.

I honestly think, to pick one from the cars on this list would merely be for the sake of choosing one. There are many great cars on the list, really, but I just feel there have been better Car Of the Year cars in previous years for their respective competition at the time....

Did not quite understand why is Beat Diesel not there to poll for but Maruti Swift is? Beat Diesel is also a game changer in its own 'little' way.

The Chevy Beat TDCi being not a choice, for me it is Honda Brio - powerful yet fuel efficient engine with slick gearshifts, great handling, visibility, and high grade interiors with top notch quality assurance. I actually like the lightweight rear design - glad that Honda retain the same designer for the front as well as for the rear unlike Ford.

I have booked the XUV 500 W8 Black so nice to see majority votes for this new VFM benchmark.
