Congrats nitin.rai. I always thought to have my next car with beige interior. I have to say black interiors looks good on City- it gives a distinct character.. For me it looks like a mini Cruze

Also, my personal opinion is to leave the ORVMs in black. They look good with blackened B-pillars

@nitin.rai: So finally the much awaited post is here. But just 1 pic? Post the whole lot. There are so many potential City Corp buyers around the forum who are waiting for a true photo shootout of the new interiors.
Nevertheless congratulations on the car. Its a great buy.

Are you sure about this? I went to the dealer this weekend to check out the city CE, and asked him about the color choices. He insisted that all the colors are available in CE as well.

No the corp edition comes only in white and silver. All colours are available from the E MT onwards.

Thanks for the clarification. I called up Dakshin Honda now. They admitted the mistake and cited the reason that the sales exec was a newly joined guy and did not have all the information! Wonder what training they gave him!

Would personally have wanted to post a lil more detailed review but short on time these days so posting a short one for the time being with pictures.

Thanks dkaile; I second that; overpriced sedans.

There was one thing in the '08-'11 City that I was especially proud of : the bumpers of EMT and SMT (the variants which didn't have fog lamps as standard) did not have a plastic fitment to cover the place where fog lamps would normally have been. The bumper didn't look cheap as it normally does in the case of cars which don't have fog lamps.

And Honda has done that to the '12 City. Not a big deal but I just don't like it.

Why couldn't they have bumpers for the current City just like those of the earlier one? Not cool Honda, not cool.

Eg :

My take : since I intend to get the fogs fitted; these bumpers make my life easier. For someone who doesn't want add-on fogs, I agree it will be an eye-sore.

True, I hate these plastic coverings on my WagonR and i10 also.

But I guess fog lamps can be installed on previous bumpers as well?

Even on the '08 City, fog-lamps could be installed on the bumpers that EMT and SMT had. It's just that the slot for fog-lamps was well concealed. The bumper had the fog-lamp slots on the inside where it had to be cut. Nice and clean.

Has Honda changed the Service intervals with the 2012 City ? Many competitors, including Maruti seem to be going to 10K/12 Months service intervals, and Honda still wants 5 K/ 3 months ?

It is not 5k kms/3 months; Honda recommends 5k kms/6 months; whichever is earlier.

The 3 months schedule is for only a visual check-up.

Nope, got my 12 city delivered on the 19th. The service manual now mentions 3 months / 5000 kms; whichever is earlier.
