Tata Motors to hike prices from January 2017

Tata Motors will be increasing prices of all cars in its portfolio from 1st January 2017. The said price hike will be in the range of Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 25,000, depending on the model. The company claims that the scheduled price hike is a result of increasing prices of raw materials like steel, aluminium, copper and rubber.

Hyundai India Announces Price Hike By Up To ₹ 1 Lakh From January 2017

Quote:
The Korean carmaker had said the price hike affects all models in the company's line-up starting from the entry-level Eon hatchback, up to the flagship Santa Fe SUV. The price hike also affects the recently launched Tucson SUV.
Hyundai India has cited increased input costs, fluctuating exchange rates and increasing marketing expenses as the reason for the hike in prices. The price hike will come into effect from January 2017

Now buy Volkswagen Polo/Ameo/Vento by paying downpayment and pay rest by EMI starting from January 2018. You don't have to pay anything in 2017. ROI @ 8.5% approx.

Is this a marketing strategy to push sales in december when the market is hit by demonetisation and year end downfall?

Can you give Break-Up of the offer ? You are getting Discount of 30k. Is this for 2016 model?

Because as per Company offer, Jazz is having Cash Benefit of 20k + Free Insurance (26k), so you are saving nearly 50k. Try to negotiate more, Final price of 10 lakh would be better.

Ideally, in December, you should at least get 6-7L off on the ex-showroom. After that you can make them reduce the extras by getting quotes from outside. Do not settle for anything less than this.

BMW is under huge pressure to clear the 3 and X3 stock and a simple meeting with cheque booklet in hand will get the deal done for you.

BTW, which dealer is this?

BSI is not mandatory and neither is BMW secure. You can get the 0 depreciation insurance done outside from with hydrostatic lock protection plan and this should be usually enough after one year of ownership.

What is good is their extended warranty which is quite VFM as it protects you against any mechanical failure and is not that expensive (5 years 60k kms for 1L or so).

Will check some other dealers in the coming week to see how much more I can manage to shave off.
Thank you for the update. I was in touch with all the 3 dealers in Bengaluru for XUV W6. All of them are quoting almost exactly the same On-Road figure. The cash discount they are offering is exactly 44K and they are not ready to budge on that. They are not even ready to give any discounts on accessories. Even for insurance, all of them are giving similar after discount premium (40K range).

It is very strange that they are having almost exactly the same figures. Is this some case of cartelisation? The thing which stands out is that each of them are very confident that the other dealers will not quote a lesser figure.

I am so disappointed with their attitude even after such a drop in their last month numbers that, I am for the first time thinking of cars like Creta, Safari or even S-Cross.

Seniors and other BHpians, will it be of any help if I contact Mahindra directly? Please guide.

Now, it is looking good.

What was the Ex-Showroom Price before Discount ?

Honda Car India website mentions it as 9.25 lakhs. Is that the same ?

If yes, then you are getting 48k off on Ex Showroom Price.

Zero Depreciation Insurance from Honda or from Outside ?

It certainly does sound a good deal if the offer is on 2016 model.
Did you inquire when was car manufactured?
How does exchange bonus work without old car?

As per offer, you should get Free Insurance + 10k Cash Benefit. This will save you around 44k.

If you add Exchange Bonus (50k, if it's that much) & Corporate Discount (8k) you'll save 102k. If this is true, then it's a very good deal.
