+1 to that. It looks like its another UVa in the making. Didn't the relative success of the Beat/Cruze and the market dudness of the UVa/Aveo teach Chevy anything!

ACI have uploaded report of fresh sightings of Chevy Enjoy in Chennai & Bangalore (separate incidents). Here, is the link to their report:

Chevrolet Enjoy MPV spotted testing - News - Autocar India

The MPV will be bigger & more spacious (including storage) than Ertiga.

This seems to be Sail hatch back. Looks little too big to be a Spark.
Uploading a pic from the web and you notice the way the lights are treated, which is visible even in the masked car.

This is the Sail hatchback. Aren't they quite done with the testing already? When are GM going to launch it?

They are all over the place!

Even I saw one yesterday night:

My thoughts - Nice and big on the outside. Bigger than perhaps the Honda Jazz. But not very exciting on the inside. Beige interior made up of un-premium material looks rubbish in any car!!

I saw the Chevrolet MUV with GJ 1 plates outside ITPL, Bangalore.

There's the GM R&D in ITPL so must have something to do with that.

I'll try to get pictures if I find it parked inside.

I saw the same MUV in Whitefield in the afternoon today. It had GJ17 plates. Here's a pic I took - excuse the quality from my mobile

Default Chevrolet SPIN - Ertiga's Rival?

Chevrolet Spin will be launched in Brazil very soon. Since the Spin would be a 7 seater model, this could be Chevy India's answer to the Suzuki Ertiga.

IMO, the car looks bigger than the Ertiga, at least in the pictures. The front looks like a grown up and stretched Beat. Side profile is not very interesting, while the rear looks bland.

The interiors are plain jack and Chevy India could take a lesson from the Beat splashing the interiors with pleasant blue theme.

MODS: I searched for "Chevrolet Spin" and did not find any thread. Please merge with an existing thread, if it is a repeat post.

Wow what a find !! Why does'nt Chevrolet launch this instead of the Chinese looking Enjoy. I think they next thing they need to do is get back their 1% stake here as well.

Sometimes, these days, when I see these cars, it irritates me no end. Who needs another one of these (referring to the hatch)?

It will have an exterior with unnecesary styling elements.
It will have good interior space with beige thrown in.
It will have a steering that will be overtly light at parking and city speeds and devoid of any feel or weight at high speeds.
It will have a 1.2 liter petrol engine
It will have the same national 1.3 liter multijet diesel (since GM Co-developed it) that is most likely not going to have the 90bhp state of tune.
It will have lightweight (read thin) panels fenders, and flimsy doors, which, when you shut, will give the feeling of the doorpads popping out.

So what do we expect new?

I too think they should have launched the spin in India. Could ve been their answer to Ertiga. Though Enjoy would have superior space it in my opinion is too boxy. May not go very well with private customers. The Spin on the other hand could have been a good launch, with little bit design changes to suit Indian tastes. Have there been any announcements regarding the same?
