| ![]() Renault Dezir Concept Its nice to see a concept car that is actually pushing the limits of styling a bit (unlike most other "realistic" concepts which just mean larger wheels, LED lights all over the place and extra gloss paintjob) Proposed as a 100% electric car, and designed to have "emotional styling" ![]() Sweet hollowed out rear with contoured slatting ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Patchwork of pads making up the seat ![]() Check out the indicator ![]() Last edited by Rehaan : 12th January 2012 at 11:20. |

| The Duster looks quite good, especially considering it is based on the Logan. Overall profile is muscular. The large headlights and the grill are quite imposing. Rear styling is a bit iffy. The small side glass at the back (couldn't recall a better term for it) and those fat D pillars will create some terrifying blind spots, I feel. As per the auto magazines, It will come with a 1.6 petrol and the 1.5 diesel (with a step 4 upgrade for improved performance). May not be hugely exciting to drive, but I feel its quite a good car. Also, is that a sport version of the Fluence? Black with black alloys and a spoiler? Looks yummy. Last edited by amitg79 : 12th January 2012 at 11:46. |

| Thanks Rehaan & Anshuman for sharing the Duster pictures. Were you not able/allowed to take the interior shots. We are now all too familiar with the exterior of the Duster, but the Indian Duster's interiors still remain a mystery. Wish we could see the Duster from inside as well. |

| I quiet liked the rear, but the front end seems a bit, hmmm, alto-ish, especially the 8th picture. Hope they don't do a fluence/koleos on the pricing. How big is it, say, compared to a scorpio? Does it look like a big hatch on stilts? |

| Team-BHP Support ![]() | ^^ Duster looks like a proper small SUV, it did not look like a Hatch on stilts from any angle to me. The GC is huge for a softroader along with very short overhangs, easily in the league of Safari and Scorpio(may be better). If they price it well, this looks like a very good alternative to our desi SUVs. @Renault: Please give us a 4wd variant. |

Size wise I did a small comparison, re-attaching in this thread (Last 2 rows Wheel Base & Ground Clearence). It is smaller in length and height but wider than the Scorpio

| Renault India website does not mention 4 wheel drive :( Renault please launch 4X4 version, desperately waiting for 4 wheel drive after cancelling XUV. Last edited by pawan_pullarwar : 13th January 2012 at 07:22. |

| Earlier on the forum, we had discussions about what the Renault hatchback would be and a lot of us had expected the Modus. In the end we got a re-badged Micra. So I won't be surprised if the sedan is a re-badged Sunny. I hope I'm wrong. |

By looking at this dimensional comparison, Duster seems like a proper SUV, not a bigger hatch, it looks at par (except length) with CRV which is popular as a family SUV. Ground clearance is also better or equal to others (But don't know how Europeans major that). Vehicle height is less than others which is a plus point in terms of safety. MRF tires and changed front grill mean definitely an Indian version. As said earlier that it will be launched in 5 variants, what will be the 5th variant, will it be a 4X4 DCI or just a 2WD DCI with more BHP or something else? I would love to see a Duster with 4X4 becasue being a compact and light-weight vehicle it seems like Duster may perform much better then some other heavy and lengthy SUVs in some tricky off-roading conditions . Have seen many videos of Duster doing off-roading, it looks very impressive in those.

| Duster looks awesome! Its a good size, and would suit our roads better. I wish Renault brings some 2L engines soon. Fluence and Duster would be magnificent on 2L engines. |
