| I was on my bike, and this group of MUVs stopped near me at a signal. My first reaction was wow, road testing in Ahmedabad?? How cool is that!! Then suddenly I thought of getting some pics. This will be my first scoop ever! I can also confirm this is an Asian - Japanese or Korean muv. Because I saw some Asian engineers sitting in the back in each of these vehicles and they had their laptops with them. Also I compared these pics with the Ertiga, and its something totally new. Comments and thoughts are most welcome ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by GTO : 17th January 2012 at 15:10. Reason: Adding watermark |

| from whatever i saw it was a seven seater, lower ride height in terms of driving position.,and not as big as Innova, i initially thought it was ertiga but its something very new. something Asian for sure. i saw Japanese engineers sitting in the back in each car. |

| The rear profile is unmistakable. Pretty sure its the sub-4m Xylo. The way only the rear is masked in the 2nd pic, is also a give-away. Last edited by SDP : 17th January 2012 at 15:21. |

| BHPian | This does have a striking design resemblance with the Xylo. But....? Well, the Asian engineers can probably be ascribed to Ssangyong, if this indeed is the Mini-Xylo.. |

| Plus the fact that it is in Ahmedabad, and not Gurgaon or Manesar, where Maruti has its factories. |

| This is for sure a GM vehicle under testing. Could be one of their soon to be launched MUV test mules. The registration is "GJ 17". The GM plant is in Halol, which is in the Panchmahal District and GJ 17 is the RTO registration number for Panchmahal. Also the Asian guy am guessing is from their Chinese partner SAIC. | Rear profile definately looks like Xylo. But if first picture is seen carefully, looking at boot space (or third rwo space), it does not seem like mini Xylo. Also other scoops for mini Xylo have spare wheel on rear door which seems to be missing here... (As someone indicated in other thread) Is this face lifted (read 2012) version of normal Xylo? | This cannot be the mini Xylo as the earlier scoop pictures suggest that the spare wheel is mounted on the tail gate. This resembles the new Chevy MPV - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/auto-e...ml#post2636760 |

| This seems to be the Chevy MPV shown at the Auto Expo ![]() There are a lot of similarities at the rear -tail lamps, number plate area, bumper etc. |

| Yes it does look a little like GM vehicle but a front profile would have done the job. Any chance you could get a frontal view of the same? |
