WORST INDIAN TV advt for cars - Team-BHP

hello all,
i read a thread on the best indian advt for cars, i would like to put down my views on the WORST INDIAN TV advt.

1) SKODA - what does people KISSING have to do with such a beautifull and strong and a brilliant performer like a SKODA.
p.s : also one of the frew scenes (2 girls walking together and trying to kiss) make me feel like its a lesbian scene happening . . .

2) the Maruti ZEN advt : the advt in which the zen is following that girl. . .shot in dark light in the by lanes of france. . . pathetic advertising.

3) Toyota Corolla : the advt in which the valet guys are jumping on one another to get the keys for the toyota corolla. . . .

and many more. . ill pen them down when they come to my mind.

Aveo - Hear it 10 times you just hear blah..blah..blah. [btw all ads with Rani mukherjee seems like that .... may be just a coincidence]

NHC - Vtec

corolla - guys fighting for the key

indica xeta - the babes are good...but the music is yukk...

my favourite car ads....

1. tata dicor : music is great

2. accent : used to come long time back with 2-3 cars racing in some pattern [ you can see a small clip of that in the recent accent-crdi ads]

3. scorpio [the old ad.....nothing else will do ..... great music again]

4. opel corsa - with the kids at the back seat waiting to react to the speed breakers.

i totally agree with you on the skoda ad.... its just freaky wen one of them grabs the other's touche...... then both laugh and giggle away to glory..

you mentioned NHC - VTEC. . .i dont remember seeing one. . . can you tell me when it was aired . . . ????

recently with 2006 nhc vtec launch......there is a guy driving vtec he allows one kid to over take and then after the kid take another route.....the driver zips off....

Aveo is the worst ad.
NHC ad is also bad.

1. Tata Dicor ad - Music is stolen from Requiem for a Dream. I can't stand plagiarism, whether it's good or bad, it's thievery. Listen to the original theme and you'll know what a cheap ripoff the Dicor music is.

2. Tata Indica - Where the guy keeps getting slapped. Once again, the idea is stolen from the original Joe Isuzu ads in America from the 80s. Once again, I can't stand thieves.

3. Aveo - Fantastic, mindblowing crap.

4. Xeta - Dumb, dumb, dumb.

5. Accent - "Respect comes naturally" - that stupid ad with the doorman at the hotel who doesn't get up for any of the guests except for the guy who comes in an Accent. I know Accent owners who actually felt embarassed by the ad.

Could never see the car properly and the message was so hidden.. Everything shot in the dark...

I believe now a days the car advertisements even in the newspaper / mag dont shoot the pictures from the appreciating angles. Either it is covered with the filmy dude obstructing the view / just the lights of the car blinking in the dark..

Thats what happens when those who dont love cars ...starts selling cars!!!

Alto ... "lets go" ... also good

... Ads on tv never came out on some good cars like .... Camry, Mondeo, Palio, Petra,

The Palio did have an ad a couple of years ago with Schumacher in it

The worst ads must be the ones with Bollywood stars in it

There used to a be a pathetic ad "style n substance" for the old accord.. felt very vintage.. yuck

@ Boom shiva- if u think that was dumb.. what about the ad where an old dude likes the prospective groom for his daughter to be cos he seemingly has an accent, and when some other dude drives away the car the father(evil guy) pulls the girl n boy apart

Worst Ad in recent times - Aveo... don't know what they want to say?

Best Ad in recent times - Tata 4x4 where the dad is sleeping and the boy starts competing in a rally... very well made.

I do not mind the Fiesta ad too... Abhishek is used well.
