Adding to this point a simple calculation.

Cost of FGT turbo - Rs.17000
Cost of VGT turbo - Rs.38000

For VGT Turbo add Vacuum tank= Rs.2700 + Vacuum operated Electronic Boost Valve = Rs.2000. + ECU(different)

In Any way 90hp engine costs a lot more than 75hp. So cost is quite justified.

How much does Swift ZDi cost at BLR ?

And these too

'In addition to the engine upgrade, the D90 would feature current and average fuel usage indicators, outside temperature and computerised distance computers, follow me headlamps, one-touch-down front (driver) side window and full blackened roof at the top. Also the car would be adorning two new shades i.e. Jet Silver and Ultra Violet.'

I guess the best thing is they have now put the speedo where it should be!

Actually, I did not compare the prices with any other cars. But felt that Rs. 8L for a hatch (though it might be a diesel super hatch) is on the higher side.

After looking at the price is Swift ZDI in Blr, which is around 7.1 L (Ex showroom), Vista D90 is not as expensive.

But still 8L for a hatch ??

You're comparing ex-showroom prices with OTR prices. If you check OTR of a Swift ZDI its around 8.2L.

If you really look at the prices of all the B2 segment hatches, you will realise that most of those crosses 8L for the top end. We will have very few exceptions.

Hi All

I went to Oberoi Cars, Noida to get some repairs done on my Year old Vista VX. I got a surprise to see some brand new Vista parked inside and some officials from Tata inspecting the same. What surprised me was the color of the same and a tag on the Dashboard that said " Please do not touch this vehicle". On checking with the men inside the Workshop I found that these were the New Vista that is to be launched on 27th January,13. further checking with the marketing Team I was told that on 27th January it would be a Press Launch and for customers it would be launched on 28th. The launch would take place at the Buddh International circuit.
And as always, let the pictures do the talking.
( sorry for the Pic quality as I had to take some pics without Flash and phone Camera could not do justice as the cars were inside the workshop).

regards

Wow. ZX seems to be getting the touch screen navigation system and climate control from the Manza club class. That would make it really VFM at 8L OTR.

This seems more than promising. The ICE looks neat and more in place. Good to see the touchscreen system along with the climate control. Will be great VFM if they can market it with those rumoured prices.

Though those rear spoilers do look a little bit overdone.

Also does the wheels look a bit puny on these images. Is it 15" or what?

I think the variant seen in the picture is Zx+. This one could be the new high end model with touch screen and climate control. Hence, would also cost more, IMO.

Interesting bodykit. Wonder if it will be standard. Finally a sport edition with horses to back up the badge!

I feel, this was the perfect chance for Tata to bring in the Vista that they showed during 2010 Expo along with the 90 Horses.
I would have definitely gone for it.
Here are the some of the pics from Auto Expo thread

The add-on chin on the front bumper sure looks tacky and overdone. The chrome-lining on the bumper corners does not go with the sporty theme.
