Default Maruti's new small car between the A-Star and the Estilo?

Source: http://www.indiancarsbikes.in/cars/c...-estilo-66129/

"the car maker could launch an all new small car that could be positioned between the A-Star and the Estilo... This car will be initially available in petrol-0nly guise. Speculations suggest that Maruti Suzuki could also launch diesel engined variants of this small car in the coming years. The small car is expected to be priced between INR 3-4 lakhs."

My wishlist: a car in the A-Star platform, but longer than it at a length of 3750mm, with the same width (1600mm) and height, with a detuned 1.2L K-series Petrol engine, with a boot space of at least 240L, and priced around 3.5L for the base variant.

A car between Estilo and A-Star??

Engine: Identical
Price: Only around 5k diference between the two. 10k if we consider the trio including Wagon R.
Length, Width & Height: Difference is approx 100mm on each.

Another car with K10 engine and L/W/H at 1550/3550/1550?

Are they planning to make it a quartet??

"The car will be launched only with the K10 three cylinder petrol engine. However, rumours are that the carmaker will also launch a diesel variant by mid 2014. Not much is known about the upcoming car but it is being expected that it would be the downsized, 1.0 litre, version of the Fiat 1.3 Multijet that will power the diesel variant."

But a car on A-Star platform, as spacious as Estilo and stylish as A-Star will do the job, I think. The new Diesel engine also will be a boost.

Mod Note : Appears to be mere speculation at this point in time. We'll re-open the thread once there is more concrete information available. Thanks!
